A really old characterful building, that has been modernised in some areas, full of interesting features and nooks and crannies. The parking was ample, but a short distance away. The room, a family room with bunk beds and a double bed was quite small, although fine for two people travelling light. The en-suite was nice, the whole room drew comparisons with Fred and Wilma Flintstone's bathroom. The breakfast room was very quaint and the breakfast was good quality and plentiful.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was not open in the evening we arrived (we were pre warned, but only within about a week of arrival). No eateries are within walking distance (that we could find), so driving back in to the main town was our only option. The room was small and there was no room for any bedside tables - we had to move a small stool to give us a platform next to the bed, you don't realise how much you rely on these simple items until you have none.

It was a very quirky place and we thought it was beautifully restored. The hosts were lovely and the breakfast was amazing. It’s in a quiet location with a spacious car park. It does have stairs, so be mindful if you have very heavy luggage. Overall we loved it.
Just a little tight in the bedroom, if you have a lot of luggage.

Location, friendly and helpful staff and history of the Contrada
1) a longer bed ie about 6 inches longer.
2) screens or mesh on the windows to stop mosquitoes entering the room.
3) small comfortable chair(s) in etc room as there was nowhere to relax.
4) option of blankets instead of the doona on each bed.
