We would definitely stay here again! Here's what we liked:
1) THE HOSTS - Christophe and his wife are wonderful hosts. You feel like you're visiting a relative, not like staying at a hotel. They were so kind, helpful, and relaxed, you feel welcome right away.
2) CERTIFIED GUIDE - The majority of sites on the Easter Island cannot be accessed without a guide. Christophe organizes tours for no more than 4 people at a time. Having it on-site is very convenient + you visit sites at your own pace, you're not rushed by the rest of a random tourist group and van driver.
3) THE ROOM - We had the apartment/room on the first floor, and it was so spacious and comfortable! The bed is giant, and the terrace is fantastic for relaxing in the morning and before bed.
4) THE BREAKFAST - Prepared once you wake up, you're not forced to follow a strict schedule. They bring it to your doorstep. It gets a bit monotone eating the same thing every day, but it's still very convenient and nice.
5) THE VIEW - Incredibly relaxing location, it is a spa for your mind. One morning WE EVEN SAW WHALES IN THE DISTANCE, AS WE WERE HAVING BREAKFAST! 😀 😀 😀 This is absolutely priceless!
6) LAUNDRY & CLEANING - The room was cleaned every day, very thoroughly. Plus, we did laundry twice, and everything was neatly cleaned, dried, folded, and waiting for us once we got back. Fantastic service!
7) COMMUNICATION - We had several questions before arriving. All of them were answered with care and on time.
8) AIRPORT PICKUP - Free airport pickup, with beautiful flower lei necklaces as gifts. I'm so upset I forgot mine!
9) PAYMENT - Paid by card, at the end. No document printing, no bureaucracy, no drama, just straightforward and transparent.
THE ONLY REASON WHY IT'S NOT A 10/10:
The best part about Cabañas Christophe is also the "worst" part about Cabañas Christophe - the location. It takes 30+ minutes by foot ONE-WAY to get to the center of Hanga Roa. It's fine the first few times, but it becomes a pain in the ass afterwards.
You definitely need either a car, a scooter, a bicycle, or a taxi. And that adds to the price quite a bit! Rentals on the island are not cheap. It wasn't too big of a deal for us, we rented a car for half of our stay, but one must take this into account when budgeting.
Despite that, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly, prefer the secluded location over a bustling one, and would definitely stay here again!

Christoph je skvělý majitel. Vyzvedl nás na letišti a i nás na letiště při odletu odvezl. Dá se s ním na všem domluvit, neustále se zajímá, zda je vše v pořádku. Nabízí i služby jako guide - to jsme nevyužili, ale určitě by to bylo také fajn.
Místo je oproti městečku příjemně klidné a tiché. Do města jsme chodili vždy pěšky, je to cca 15-20minut chůze.
Ubytování je dostatečně prostorné, zařízeno se vkusem - s akcentací přírodních materiálů (především dřeva).
Snídaně v ceně je příjemný bonus, člověk nemusí tolik nakupovat. Christoph vždy ráno donesl teplé housky. Byli jsme ale 4, snídaně mohla být maličko bohatší a větší.

Breakfast is plan bread and some jam and butter in fridge. Room is good big and clean. Located 30 minutes walk from town which is very inconvenient if no rental cars.
Location. Owner Christophe picked us up at the airport, drove us around town then dropped us at the property. He explained the basics and rushed off. It feels like he is trying to avoid us instead of helping us. Most host will recommend restaurants etc. Not him. Then he can't be found and no communications. Since our tour company will drop us off at the airport, I whatsapped him if he can drop us off in town the day before instead. There was no reply. Then I accidentally found him in his house. He said no problem no problem. He came to collect our payment since he is not sending us to the airport and then was no where to be found. Not answering our multiple calls. We waited and waited and finally have to walk to town. It seems he talks to make you happy and then avoid to help you. Not a hospitable host. The room is clean, big and comfortable.
