Situated in Berkeley, this attractive condo for $161 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This sweet, spacious 2 Bedroom/1Bath apartment is located between the two neighborhoods of trendy, fun Temescal and gorgeous Rockridge. Close to College Ave, BART, Temescal Alley & several great restaurants like Burma Superstar, Pizzaiolo, Mua, Gather & A16. It's a completely separate, spacious two bedroom apartment in the lower level of beautiful 1925 Craftsman home. Private entrance. Recently remodeled with new carpet, paint and counter top, it has a large eat-in kitchen, separate dining room, living room, bathroom with tub & lovely shared courtyard. Easy street parking. Our fully equipped kitchen has a full size refrigerator, gas range, microwave, and ample cabinet space. You'll find filtered water in the refrigerator. The dining area seats 4 or 5 comfortably. There are two private bedrooms, one with a queen bed and bedding, large closet and chest of drawers. The second has a full-sized bed bedding, a closet and small set of drawers. The living room has a flat screen TV with cable, ample seating including a lazy-boy chair, and a convertible sofa that sleeps 1 person. We also provide the following: linens, blankets & pillows, towels, kitchen supplies, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, soap, shampoo and conditioner.

The apartment is very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were surprised to find it is in a lower level and doesn’t have much sunlight. It was not much of an issue because we were out everyday.

Location good, nice quiet street. Walkable to the local grocery and drug store, easy access to other parts of Oakland via ride share. Everything we needed was available in the home for our visit. Felt welcomed by the host. Thanks for giving access earlier to the home.

We decided to take a vacation with our adult kids ages 22 and 25. We purposely picked this location that was near the BART and near my cousin who I last met when I was 10. It was a perfect location to go into San Francisco and visit with my cousin. We also met a friend who lives in Morin County. The property was clean and felt like home. The courtyard was perfect to sit and chat. Jeri was easy to work with and also made us feel welcome. 5 stars all around.

This was the perfect place for our family's return to a favorite city after 30 years away. The location is ideal - a beautiful, walkable neighborhood nestled between the Temescal and Rockridge neighborhoods, an easy walk from two BART stations, easy access to every urban amenity. The home is clean and comfortable and the manager, right upstairs, was very friendly and accessible. We will definitely look for this property again next time we visit the Bay Area!

We were very happy with this vrbo. I checked with Jeri beforehand about the heaters and noise mentioned in another review. The space heaters were more than adequate. We only used two of them. On chilly days we turned them down when we left and we turned them off on other days. Noise was not a problem. When she had company she told us and we barely noticed. Jeri is the best! We will definitely book again on future trips to Oakland.

I am unable to give this property a good review due to a few issues. The rental is in the basement of the house with a few high street level windows. I knew this from reading all the reviews before renting. What I didn’t know is that there is no heat other than three space heaters throughout the unit. One heater is in the main sitting area/kitchen and each bedroom has a heater. However, you can only turn on the space heaters when you are in the unit. They are very slow to heat up. The unit does have electric baseboard heat but they must be broken. Signs are taped on the baseboard heaters instructing you not to use. So it was bone chilling cold! We were also renting in November which is a cold month.
Since this is a lower unit it was very loud from the owners who live up above. If you like to stay up late this won’t bother you. We are on East coast time and not being able to fall asleep due to the noise was frustrating. Things would quiet down up above around 2 AM making it very hard for us to adjust to the time.
On the positives - the owner is very friendly. The unit was very clean and is situated in a nice neighborhood. The patio/courtyard looked very nice but we did not use it.

The property was great. Just what we needed for a quick trip for a wedding. Put us 30 mins outside San Fran. The main strip with restaurants and bar is a SUPER easy walk - which we did just about every night. Cute quiet neighborhood. Just perfect.

Clean, comfortable, and convenient! We were in Claremont area for wedding and enjoyed staying for 4 nights. In between festivities, we relaxed in outdoor garden area with cup of coffee or glass of wine. Fully equipped kitchen was perfect for preparing meals too. Appreciated wonderful communication with host and would definitely come back when in area.

Reviews were all correct as indicated in my star rating and would recommend staying here. Only downsides being it was a fairly dark accommodation due to being low level and bed in 2nd bedroom was rather small and uncomfortable . Jeri was great host and always quick to communicate even though she was out of town.

We thought this was a great spot!This is the first floor of a raised so the ceiling are fairly low. It is spacious, comfortable and worked perfectly for our family of 4. The host was super nice and there if we needed anything. The outdoor space was delightful with a variety of interesting plants and flowers.
We had a our breakfasts at the house and the kitchen was well equipped. Trader Joes and a natural store are within walking distance and there was a fantastic Sat AM farmers market near the house.

Our group had an awesome time staying at Jeri’s in Oakland. We were in town for Outside Lands Music Festival in SF. Jeri’s home was an easy walking distance to the BART station. Jeri was extremely communicative and helpful before and during our stay. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you again!!!

Excellent location in Rockridge--just 10 min walk from BART and 6 Bus takes you to UC Berkeley in about 15 minutes. Jeri was great to work with and was able to accommodate last minute changes. Kitchen is workable; patio area is lovely place to spend time; comfortable bed (primary bedroom). Pics don't indicate it is a basement apartment, but no issues with the usual things that come with that.

Wonderful Stay in Great Neighborhood with Fantastic Host
REally loved our stay at this place. It was large, comfortable, and the backyard was fantastic. Easy walk to great restaurants and shops and quick ride into SF when traffic was low. Lovely, walkable, safe neighborhood with charming vintage houses and beautiful landscaping everywhere. Geri, our host, could not have been nicer or more helpful/responsive. She really went out of her way to make our stay perfect. Highly recommend!
