Located in Pensacola, this attractive house for $249 per night is a great option for your next trip. Step into history at 'The Hawkins House,' a meticulously preserved 1880s gem in downtown Pensacola. This 2000 sqft retreat seamlessly blends vintage charm with modern comfort, offering a Southern town ambiance on a tranquil side street. Revel in the open-concept design, bathed in natural light, adorned with rich furnishings, and showcasing 19th-century features. Sleeps six comfortably and dog friendly with screening (fee). Your perfect getaway awaits in the heart of vibrant Downtown Pensacola! Once inside The RED DOOR, you will feel like you've entered a treasure discovery as this spacious, luxurious home boasts 2000 sq ft of beautiful space. The house is fully renovated with contemporary updates while preserving its impressive 19th-century features. Its open concept and high ceilings throughout the quaint living and dining room allow your family to be in two spaces simultaneously. This welcoming home has two bedrooms (plus a bunk room) and two and a half baths, where attention to detail has been considered for maximum enjoyment of everything from its bedding and furnishings to kitchenware. On the ground floor, with a spacious en-suite bathroom (spacious shower, + clawfoot tub) and a walk-in closet, is the master bedroom with a king-size bed next to the bunk room with twin beds towards the back of the home, which makes them very private. The upstairs bedroom - has a queen bed and a full bathroom with a tub. Please note that there are 15 steps to access the upstairs bedroom. We are within walking distance or a mile radius to all major wedding venues - The Barkley House, The Palafox House, Old Christ Church, 5eleven Palafox, The Junction Pensacola, Supposey Warehouse + Garden, Palafox Wharf Waterfront, The Rails on Wright St., Court De Luna, New World Inn, Seville Quarter. BEDROOM DESCRIPTION (up to 6 adults/Children over 12 years old): MASTER BEDROOM: One (1) King size bed in the master bedroom and a dresser on the first floor. Sleeps two (2) people. BUNKROOM (BUNK BEDS - TWIN) OFF THE MASTER: TWIN-size bunk beds are set. Sleeps two (2) adults or two (2) children. The bunk beds are adjacent to the master bedroom and share the master bathroom. A pocket door separates the master and adjacent rooms for privacy. To access the master bath, you'll need to enter the bunk room. BEDROOM UPSTAIRS: There is One (1) Queen size bed in the upstairs room with a full bathroom. **UPSTAIRS ROOM VERY IMPORTANT: To access the second-floor bedroom (queen bed with a full-size bathroom with a tub), there is a narrow set of stairs with 15 steps to climb.

Our group so enjoyed our stay at the Red Door house! The home has AMPLE space, every amenity you could think of, the most perfect front porch, walkable to everything downtown. I'm so glad we decided to stay here! The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen had the essentials we needed to cook with, and Mrs Gloria was amazing with communicating through the whole process!

Great downtown location.
The Red Door house was in walking distance to many restaurants and was updated with modern appliances and had was well stocked with all soaps...laundry, dish, bathroom, etc. They even had a magnifying mirror for applying makeup. We definitely would recommend this property for your stay in Pensacola.

At one point during our stay, we hosted three generations (plus two pups) at the Hawkins House, and there is something for everyone at this home. Our college- age son and his girlfriend could walk to Fosko for crepes and coffee in the late morning. The rest of us often took long waterfront walks along the Memorial park or down around the Wahoos stadium after having early coffee on the front porch with our older son who lives in historic district Pensacola.
The back yard was perfect for our dogs to play while we enjoyed the seating areas for lunch or late afternoon drinks. This home is perfectly appointed and comfortable while also being in a prime location for walks to restaurants and shopping. We will miss our jaunts to Bodacious on Palafox for breakfast or lunch and the easy walks to delicious dinner destinations: Dharma Blue, South Market, Juan’s Flying Burrito, Thai and the District. Pensacola Beach is also an easy and beautiful drive. We like to go to the far end of Ft Pickens. We also drove the scenic Bayou Blvd for tennis at the Roger Scott Tennis Complex, which is a top-rated municipal tennis center in the country. Everyone is friendly there and we were able to get a clay court most afternoons-no reservation required for guests.
Our hostess, Gloria, was always available to answer any questions regarding the property and surrounding area. We look forward to our next trip to Pensacola and hope to stay again in this lovely home!

Amazing Downtown Pensacola
My husband and I stay in a ton of VRBOs, and this is one of the BEST we've ever stayed in. First, Gloria was amazing and waiting on the porch to check us in and show us around the house. The house is in the perfect location downtown and we made great use of the front porch swing. We will DEFINITELY be back!
