We had a wonderful stay; a word of advice from us to prospective guests, to get the most out of your experience, make sure you book with breakfast included (very worth it, especially as Acro is out of town), book at least one dinner at Cremnos, at least one spa treatment during your stay, clear space in your schedule to lay in the bungalows overlooking the sea, or spend time enjoying the view from your suite, and take advantage of the offer of a sailing excursion (ours was a small group sailing trip to Dia that was a highlight of our time in Crete but there are an array of options). The staff are as friendly and accommodating as we found throughout all of Greece, and the atmosphere is peaceful and feels unique, a little escape to a world of calm and comfort.

We loved everything about our stay at Acro. The staff was incredible and very friendly, the amenities were awesome, the room, pool and view were stunning, the breakfast was insane and so delicious, and the whole place was calm, serene, and so peaceful. We got room service and the food was delicious and we got to eat it on our patio while watching the sunset. While it's expensive to stay there, once you're there, the cost of things isn't outrageous such as food, the spa, and other wellness activities.
The only thing we didn't like is that we weren't staying longer

We stayed at the EOS part of the hotel and the facilities were amazing! The staff was so friendly, and they were there for anything you needed. The food at the hotel was delicious.

Acro Suites is undeniably a beautiful resort with a stunning aesthetic and a serene atmosphere. The staff are genuinely friendly, warm, and eager to help, and the room‑service team generally delivers well. Breakfast is good, with a nice variety and fresh options, and the overall setting of the resort makes for a visually impressive stay.
For a property positioned — and priced — as a luxury resort, there are several areas where management has clear opportunities to elevate the experience. At £600 a night, guests naturally expect near‑perfection, and the service levels don’t consistently meet that standard. Service can be slow across the board, especially during breakfast, which takes away from the otherwise enjoyable start to the day.
The private pool was the biggest disappointment for us. Despite paying a premium for a room with a pool, the water was far too cold to enjoy, which significantly impacted the value of the stay.
Operational rigidity also shows in the strict check‑in and check‑out approach, which feels out of place for a luxury property where flexibility is usually part of the experience.
The gym is another area that needs attention. Although the space is large, it’s poorly designed — not enough machines, no air‑conditioning, and the open door leads to dust constantly blowing in. The cleaning team works hard, but the frequent mopping makes the floor slippery, creating a safety concern.
Finally, the room design itself feels dysfunctional despite its generous size. Storage is limited, towel hooks are oddly placed far from the shower, and some drawers don’t close properly. These small but noticeable issues add up and detract from the overall comfort.
