Great hotel near the centre of Nottingham, is about a 20-minute walk from the main train station, and is directly opposite The Organ Grinder pub. Was quite modern and nicely decorated throughout. Entry into front door and room was via an electronic keypad, which you get from their app (via the booking link) beforehand. Well stocked bathroom, and room had a small kitchenette for any food / drink.
Only downside was that you needed to pay a £150 security holding deposit before they would release your electronic key on the app, which unusual, and a bit steep.

The instructions from the staff and the self-check in via the website and keypad was simple. The small kitchen was a bonus, and the proximity to lots of public transport was good. Wifi was good.
The room was very dirty. The hob and all of the dishes were dirty with caked on food bits. In order to use anything they had to be washed - and there was no sponge or liquid, so a towel and hand soap had to be used. The shelves, lampshades, above the bed, etc. were thick with dust and it was obvious they had not been cleaned in a long time. The mould growing on the ceiling above the shower (and in the shower) was very evident. The smell when entering the bathroom was terrible. The walls of this hotel are very thin and conversations/tv/footsteps are easily heard. While the back of the property is a nice green space, it is where people go to smoke and talk.
