Located in Crested Butte, this attractive condo for $75 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Free-standing, Private guest house behind main house, in the alley, yet still on the main drag (Elk Ave) in downtown CB. Cozy studio with all the amenities of a big house, but intimate enough for a couple's getaway. Close to everything downtown and only 1.5 blocks from the bus at the "4-way Stop" on Elk ave. Access to the shared yard, townie bikes, and BBQ in the summertime. 1/2 block to Rainbow park and 1.5 blocks to entire town :) *** Business Lic #7138

The hostess is nice and the check in was easy but there is much wrong here. Right next door there is some kind of data center that looks like a house but has sealed windows and noisy equipment that runs all night. How this got put in a residential neighborhood is a mystery. The house heater was extremely noisy, the lighting inadequate and there were loose tiles in the bath that seemed to cover an access opening to under the house. These were covered by a loose rug and were unstable. The 4 p.m. check-in and 10 am checkout hardly leave time to relax.
It's not a terrible place for a heavy sleeper not planning to spend much time there, but it's disappointing at best. On the plus side there is a washer and dryer and some helpful kitchen essentials and condiments, etc. The neighborhood is fine, except for the data center or whatever it is.

The back alley studio had everything we needed to cook our meals as the kitchen is well stocked, and it stayed warm and cozy when the temps dropped below 0F during our stay. The location was also very convenient for us to go cross country and skate skiing.

Sasa is an excellent host. Her communication and organization made all the logistics a breeze. The place is in a great location, a very short walk from the main part of town and the bus stop (the bus to the mountain in CB is the easiest of anywhere and runs every 15 minutes on a set schedule). The views of Mt. Crested Butte are amazing from this location. The place has everything you could want and the bed and furniture were quite comfy. Hope to stay there again in the future.

Our host Sasa was super friendly and helpful, giving us restaurant tips etc. Location is very convenient, quick walk to town, and the view of Crested Butte Mountain from the window is spectacular!!!

My husband &I really enjoyed staying at this spot near Rainbow park. You could walk to everything downtown, and it was close to great hiking/biking trails. Loved our cottage stay!
All was just perfect for two people. Place is darling with walking access to town. Murphy bed was very comfortable and Sasa was always available even though she was out of town. Well stocked kitchen. Only upgrade would be to add another ice cube tray or two! We look forward to returning.

Sasa's Cottage was exactly as pictured and even better than expected. What upcoming visitors might not know is there's a mud room for storing items that you don't want in the living space, such as skis, and there's a wonderful view of Mt. Crested Butte out the side window. We enjoyed coffee while watching sunrise on the peak every morning from the murphy bed. Sasa is a wonderful host and we'll be doing our best to come back. Thank you!Some helpful head's ups for future guests: the parking rules are provided and are simple but can be easy to forget about during a vacation. Here's how I remembered them:- Park in the designated spot to the right of the cottage.- But, if it's going to snow 4'' or more in the forecast the plows will come at around 4:00 AM then you have to park on the street that allows parking that day before that time.- There are parking signs that say plows will plow this side on an even or odd day of the month during the night starting at 10:00 PM. For example. if it's the 1st of the month, then that's an odd day and you can't park on that side. There's plenty of space in the winter.- Also since the no parking starts at 10:00 PM, you can park on either side of the street until then.- There could be a sign not directly in front of your vehicle but the restrictions apply to the whole side of the street. This was a lovely property in an amazing location. Sasa was very available and extremely helpful. We are hoping to stay here again in the future. I highly recommend this property!!
