This is an excellent hotel - we've stayed here circa 10 times over the years. The staff is first class, offering excellent responsive service; our mattress was a bit soft for us (but probably fine for most guests) and the staff changed it immediately.
The bedroom and bathroom are large and well-furnished, with access from the bedroom to the pool. There's a useful separate area for clothes and suitcases etc. They've upgraded the TV since we last stayed to a big flat screen with apps etc.
The outdoor space is ideal, with a day bed plus table and chairs. The pool is clean and lovely - and there's a 'mini kitchen' with a big fridge-freezer for those who want to cook.
The location is a 7 minute moped ride to +Alona beach. We typically walk, which takes us about 30 minutes. A tuk tuk costs about £1.50. Upgrade works at the beach are now complete. There are loads of lovely beach bars and restaurants etc, and the beach is perfect for swimming - especially for younger kids. White Beach, which is very lovely, is the same distance as Alona Beach - with other attractions (hidden cave and pool etc) being 5 to 10 minutes away on a moped.

Staff were friendly
Meals brought to room not covered. Kitchen utensils not in good condition. TV broke down wasn't replaced or repaired. Resort seemed to lack a senior manager. Cooks under cooked the rice two days in a row. Yes the rice was under cooked, how that could happen in Asia only God knows.
