We so enjoyed staying at the Half Moon house! It was very comfortable, cozy and clean! There were many personal touches and useful things to use for the beach.
We have had some "unfortunate" experiences at other properties we have stayed at, so, Kudos to the cleaning crew here. We appreciated the good job they did.
Rick, the owner, was a wonderful, responsive and friendly communicator.
The neighborhood was nice and felt very safe. It is convenient to the beach, shopping and restaurants.

I came to Sarasota to celebrate my nephew's graduation from high school in Gulf Gate Estates. We were able to enjoy beaches in the area, restaurants, and the calm quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and fresh, with plenty of sleeping and lounging space, equipped with everything you might need. We did buy our own food and enjoy it there. We enjoyed the backyard space in the early morning in the lush Florida greenery. Whether or not you are in and out going places, or you just want to lay back and read for hours doing nothing, this place is such a respite. The house is spread out so each guest can have his /her own space. We were very comfortable and I would recommend this place to anyone for its tropical feel, cleanliness, and open space. Instructions were clear and simple. Thank you to our host who made our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

The images of this lovely property are 100% accurate, but they do not completely capture the warmth of this roomy, sweet suburban home. The kitchen has lots of cupboards filled with anything you could need, even junk drawers. The open kitchen and living room layout is attractive and convenient. The sunroom and patio are appealing, but I am sad to say were rarely used, along with the grill, bikes, and more. The bedrooms have large closets and the master bedroom has a comfy bed. It's a quiet neighborhood too. Any questions are answered in the detailed instructions left by the hosts. And this house is close to everything! Everything. Minutes away you have many small international restaurants on Gateway Ave. There is a Publix less than five minutes away. Going on a boat cruise or a trolley tour, get there quickly. Main Street, St. Armands Circle, and theaters are within 15 minutes. The beach, didn't make it there, but close by too. You feel like you are home when you are here.

So happy we chose to stay at the Half Moon House! Rick was a great host and immediately helped us with any questions we had. The neighborhood is quiet and the beds were very comfortable! The house was just the right size for our multigenerational group! Grandma loved it and so did the teenagers, which made this Mama happy! Everything was clean and the furniture was comfy for lounging in the evening. The patio was perfect for a morning cup of coffee and some quiet time for reading a good book. The house is centrally located which made it easy to get to all our favorite places in the area including St. Armandās Circle, the mall at University Town Center, Venice and of course Siesta Key! I canāt wait to come back again!!

The cozy home has everything you need for a great time at the beach. The bikes were a blast, you can ride around the very peaceful neighborhoods, or to the beach. The management made sure everything was prepared and available to answer any questions. Great restaurants nearby. My husband and I will definitely be back.

Great home in a quiet neighborhood. Close to shopping, restaurants, and beach. Host was very responsive before and during check-in, when the coffee pot leaked he delivered a new one that day.

Property was in a nice, safe neighborhood. We enjoyed having access to the bikes for a ride around the neighborhood in the evening. Property location is convenient since it is within 1-2 miles of grocery store, and 10 minute drive to Siesta Key beach. Golf also was a short drive away. Extremely well equipped with amenities like beach towels, beach chairs, cooler, etc. It was very clean and checkin was easy and smooth. Outdoor patio was a great place to enjoy coffee in the quiet of the morning or relax in the evening. Second bathroom is not a true second bathroom since located in laundry room, but would function fine for kids. We would definitely consider staying here again.

We just returned home after spending the last 2 weeks at this lovely home. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and wanted to let others know that they would definitely enjoy spending their vacation here. Rick was a pleasure to deal with. He responded quickly to every inquiry that we made of him. The home was situated ideally for us ....close to the Legacy Trail which was a real highlight of our stay. The bikes which are provided were used to ride many miles and we enjoyed taking them out through the quiet neighborhood as well. Location was also very close to the beaches and easy to navigate the route to them. Overall I would rate this rental a solid 5 stars. Thank you Rick for allowing us to stay in your lovely home!!!

We enjoyed staying at Half Moon Circle. Bedrooms are good size; living room, dining area also. Especially enjoyed airy, screened in porch, the bicycles, and the use of āAlexa.ā Neighborhood is lovely and quiet - great area for walks and bike riding. Close to Siesta Key and also to Shelby Aquatic Center and YMCA, Sarasota Square Mall, AMC theaters, great restaurants, etc. Host Rick is great to work with.

Really enjoyed our stay. The home was a great place to relax after a day at the beach. Itās about a 10 minute drive to Siesta Key, and was very close to a Publix grocery store. Very convenient. House was well stocked with bikes and things for the beach, and was a great bonus so we didnāt have to buy extras. Would recommend home to others.

Wonderful stay at Half Moon House!
We had such a great time in the Sarasota area staying at The Half Moon House. It was exactly as depicted in the listing and all the other reviews were accurate. This house was as clean as could be, had everything you could possibly need for your beach vacation, was in a nice neighborhood, close to Publix and 10 minutes from the beach. Oh, and the price was reasonable for what you get. Rick was very responsive. Hope to stay here again sometime soon!
