It was really nice to have this place right inside one of the old city gates of Miranda do Douro. The whole old town is in easy walking distance and while the streets are narrow, like always in old Portuguese towns, we found a very convenient parking location just outside on the street. Our host, Fábia, met us at the house, explaining the accommodation and also providing lots of information on things to in and around town.
Despite my size (~2m tall, wide) we found the bed upstairs to be big enough for both and preferred to make upstairs our main area, the bed downstairs is even larger, on the luxurious side for Portuguese standards. A fully equipped kitchen would have allowed us to cook for ourselves, which we finally did not do. Having some kitchen basics, and coffee capsules (Delta) provided was nice.
We didn't really dislike anything. But note that you are within a renovated old building with smaller spaces. With four people the kitchen per se would be OK, but there is not much space to share as living area. As a minor point, should you be also rather tall: while my wife liked the low chairs and small sofa upstairs, for me everything was really on the small side.

Central town house location, good air con in bedrooms, host Fabia was lovely. Snacks, fruit and water a nice touch. We loved that we could easily walk out from the house to restaurants and Fabia recommended some good ones. Need to pay Fabia in cash or by bank transfer is useful to know.
Fridge was not great and not switched on when we arrived, I think it was struggling a bit because it was inside a cupboard. No washing machine or dishwasher if you need them, did not bother us but useful to know.

A localização é excelente, numa zona tranquila e muito agradável. A casa é extremamente confortável, acolhedora e estava muito bem cuidada, proporcionando uma estadia muito agradável.
A D. Fábia foi simplesmente excelente, muito atenciosa. Fez questão de nos dar a conhecer os melhores locais da região, tanto para visitar como para comer, o que tornou a nossa experiência ainda mais especial.
Recomendo vivamente esta casa e, sem dúvida, será um local a considerar para uma próxima estadia. Esperamos poder voltar!
