About this house rental
Nestled in Vernazza, this charming house for $248 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This spectacular apartment faces the main square of Vernazza, with its vibrant atmosphere. It is nicely furnished with antiques from all over the world, brought in from the owner, a native of Vernazza who has traveled all over. It comfortably hosts four people in two rooms, the double room is directly connected to the living area but is totally separate with curtains, the other one with two beds is very intimate, exposed on the east side, towards Corniglia. Is even available a small bed for baby from 0 to 3 year old. From here you can experience the real mood of the cinque terre, that means Italian Riviera, aperitifs, sun-bathing, walking, dinners, everything just seconds away from this cosy house. “La Piazzetta” has been recently renewed to make it even more comfortable and to give to its guests all the amenities they may need. It is equipped with all the accessories to live it completely and to make you feel home. From the raised kitchen guests can enjoy the life style of the piazza in a unique atmosphere. It is tr perfect place from where visiting all the cinque terre and the nice art cities of Italy (Florence, Pisa, Siena, Genova, etc). This 70 sqm house sits on one floor but it is organized on raised levels that give hierarchy to the rooms and increase the perception of the space. In the winter nights you can add a touch of romanticism by starting the fireplace and enjoying nice dinners. If you are looking for a special house where to spend your holidays, 'La Piazzetta' is your place. EXTRA: -Final cleaning not included, to be pay at your arrival 50,00 euro. -From March 2015 payment of 2,00 € per night per person for the first three days of stay. This amount will be due to the owner upon arrival. Are exempt from children under 11. This amount will be paid in cash on arrival as it is not revenue for our structure but will be paid to the treasury of the City.

After a lot of research we decided to base our 3 night stay in Cinque Terre in Vernazza and selected this apartment on VRBO. The apartment could not have been in a better location - right on the plaza in the heart of the town. It was charming inside with a comfortable bed and everything was clean. Checkin and checkout were easy with a lockbox located next to the door of the apartment. A couple of notes that are importnant to mention - entry into the apartment requires walking one flight of 20 stairs, but I guess if you’re visiting Cinque Terre that shouldn’t be an issue. The other thing I glossed over was the apartment does not have AC. It wasn’t an issue for us with a mid October visit (even though the days were in the low 80’s!), but it perhaps might be in the middle of the summer if you prefer a really cool place to sleep. For our purposes however, everything was perfect!

My husband, 11-year-old son and I loved our stay at the apartment on Piazza Marconi. The view can’t be beat. The loft bunk bed was such a fun space for our son to call his own. We loved being so close to the restaurants, swimming and shops. Dinner at Gianni Franzi was our favorite meal, but the truffle pizza at Ananossa was also delicious. Pack beach towels if you plan to swim in the cove - a very memorable experience! We made good use of the clothes line and appreciated being able to stretch out on the couch. The buzz in the square at night was fun, but remember to close the windows before bed to block out sounds that start early in morning, such as street cleaners and garbage trucks. Our only recommendation would be to add more fans since it was so hot and there’s no air conditioning.

Great location as right at main piazza and near fishing boats. Terrible location in that it is excessively noisy. No AC so no option to close windows. Limited supplies, 1 towel per person for milt day stay. No cleaning supplies, no paper towel, one dish towel. Suitable space for a couple or parents and 2 children. Not suitable for 4 adults. One queen bed and bunk bed room is repurposed closet. No room for luggage and only one person can stand in the room at a time. Important to know 20 steep steps to unit. Fine for us but could be a challenge for some. Decor is fun and view is charming. Easy to check in and check out.

We loved 5 Terra Bay! The location was the best! The king bed was very comfortable. And the noise level at the apt was not real loud. So we think it is well insulated. We love Vernazza and this was our 4th visit in the last 20 years. We plan to return someday!

I stayed here with my husband and our two teen girls. We all LOVED it! My girls loved the quirky decor and I loved that it was super clean. The location is unbeatable - absolute perfection. You can open the shutters to the colourful square below and a great view of the sea/harbour. The host was kind and helpful in all our communication with her. Thank you!!!! Would absolutely stay here again.

The apartment itself is adorable, comfortable, left suggestions for food and activities, and plenty of space for the 4 of us. The location could not have been better for the sleepy town of Vernazza. Being right on the Piazza Marconi with a view of the water, and the sounds of the italian days and nights could not have been more perfect for myself. My teens may have enjoyed a town with a few more things to do, but I enjoyed the quiteness and seaside vistas. We absolutely enjoyed the hiking to Monterosso (literally the alley staircase next to the apartment entrance) as well as a sunset hike back from Corniglia was the perfect day. And then with use of the Cinque Terre Train card we could pop down by train and hike and enjoy the southern towns as well! We could have stayed at least a week and will be back!
As with many italian lodgings, the shower was small and the staircase steep, but again, this active family found that charming and did not limit the fun :)
It was the shoulder season (March) and so it was fascinating to watch the town get ready for their high season with construction and limited food offerings, but ALL the people and staff that we did encounter were happy to share their fabulous town, talk deep into the night about their lives and were wonderfully hospitable! And of course, there were plenty of croissants, espresso, fresh dishes al mare, and gelato options!

Grazie for the nice stay. The apt was as expected. Great location right by the square and good restaurant. Enjoyed hearing the sea. Beds fine, plenty of bedding was nice, small shower but good pressure. Small, basic kitchen sufficient. Fun decor.
Note for anyone with mobility issues, several stairs to get to apt.
Recommend taking the train as host suggests or to book parking ahead. We drove and more parking info would have been helpful, when we didn’t book ahead and arrived after parking was closed. We tried calling parking number but had no cell service. But overall, all was great!

Right in the Middle of Everything
Location, location, location!
Loved the apartment. Right in the piazza overlooking the action. Very comfortable place to stay and relax by the window and people watch.
We loved it here.
However, if you are a bigger person, you might find the shower too small.

Three nights in Vernazza
The location and ambiance of the apartment were fantastic. There are so many activities right outside the cute piazza door (swimming / snorkeling, hiking, shopping and of course eating and dinking). We especially liked watching sunsets with gelato. There were two downsides. The first was not having hot water in the shower which could have been a hot water tank issue, but we never asked. Secondly, apartment can get hot, but it’s hard to keep the windows open because the piazza is lovely late into the night. Overall we had a very nice stay.

Wonderful location and the apartment was very interestingly furnished with lots of antiques. The square where the apartment is located is noisy and we had to sleep with ear plugs. The kitchen is very small but fine.

Our stay in Vernazza was only enriched by having the great chance to live for several nights in this lovely apartment-home! i enjoyed preparing a few small meals and soaking in the Piazza and the vibrant energy of al things Vernazza, literally out our window! This is a beautiful and spacious apartment for our family of four! There was some construction/scaffolding nearby during our stay, but Stefania was so warm, gracious, and accommodating to make things work so well for us. Highly recommend!

Location, location, location
We really enjoyed our visit to Vernazza. The apartment overlooked the main square/harbor and had great views. It is full of artsy, quirky pieces, including the life size wooden horse and rainbow chandelier. It was comfortable for 3 people, and an easy walk from the train. You will have to climb a set of stairs to get to the door of the apartment. We didn’t spend a lot of time inside, other than sleeping and showering. I would stay there again if we ever go back!
