Dare was a great host. The check-in was very simple, and I appreciated the overall ambiance of the house. While a bit far from Morioka station, the walk was very well worth it. The house is massive, with various amenities. I'm glad I was able to stay here, because it has provided me with some great memories with a good friend of mine.
The check-in at 5 pm is a bit later than what I am used to, but rules are rules, and I completely understand why it's specifically at that time. Nevertheless, besides that, I have no real complaints; the experience was, to a large extent, positive.

Very clean
Traditional house
Nice owner (who also lives in the house) and very helpful.
This place feels more like flating rather than staying in a guesthouse. You will be sharing your room with someone else, you have access to pretty much the entire house, the facilities are like the one in a house. As a result you will be living in close proximity with the other occupants of the house, hense the feeling of flating. Some people will love it for its social life, some may not if they like to have their own private space.
Long check in process with lots of rules (like flating with the landlord living in the house too)

Clean and traditional japanese style.
There are overwhelmingly too many rules, most of which are obvious. Upon arrival, you’re required to read a five-page manual. Rules are posted absolutely everywhere in the house — they’re practically part of the decoration.
You also have to make your own bed, which is unexpected for this price point. Most items aren’t free: towels, parking, earplugs, coffee, washing machine, extra pillow…
On the bright side, you can rent a bicycle for 500 yen a day, which is quite cheap.
When leaving, the host came to check the bedroom and bathroom in front of us to make sure we hadn’t broken any rules. Nothing unusual there, but it reinforced the feeling that we were constantly being watched over our shoulder.
