About this cottage rental

Nestled in Door County, this lovely cottage for $504 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Larger than it looks in the photos (maybe I need to get a fisheye lens like so many of the other rental listings use?) the Annex is part of a large, family owned for over 100 years compound with extensive acreage, lots of history and privacy. A classic Door County 'cottage' (if 5 large bedrooms can be called a cottage) you will enjoy over 150 feet of walk into the water private waterfront (with more waterfront at the private pier/harbor) . Not a condo, motel in sight (or sound). Enjoy your morning coffee in the the 3 season, comfortably furnished porch while watching geese in the bay just outside the windows, or relax and enjoy making smores or trading stories around the waterside firepit (firewood provided so you don't need to worry about buying and hauling wood from a roadside stand) as you view incredible sunsets. The lawn slopes gently to the waterline where you can step right into the bay to swim, fish, or launch your own kayak. A large patio with gas grill and plenty of seating and tables overlooks the bay as well. Play tennis or pickleball on the tennis court (or let the kids blow off steam and ride thier trikes or play dodgeball on it - safe from traffic). The owners large, private concrete pier provides fishing and stargazing opportunities. Inside - Central A/C, wifi and cable TV are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, flatware, cookware and electrics including pot and single srve coffee makers, crockpot, griddle, mixer. The Annex also has water cooler with bottled water. This cottage sleeps up to 12 in real beds in real bedrooms. There are no pullouts or inflatables here so everyone will get a good nights rest and be ready for the next day's adventures. If you are no fan of staircase there are 3 light filled bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens) and a bathroom downstairs, and upstairs there are 2 large bedrooms (3 twins each) with a TV /gaming/reading nook and a bathroom, perfect for a kiddos retreat. A nice sized living/dining room witha gorgeous fireplace and a kitchen are on the first floor, as well as that waterfront 3 season porch. There is plenty of parking available adjacent to the house as well as parking for a boat/trailer if needed. The Annex is up to 2 well mannered dog friendly. Your "water' dogs will be so happy here! Great location a few minutes from the boat launch at Frank Murphy County Park, Horsehoe Bay Farms, downtown Egg Harbor, farm stands, wineries, art galleries, boutiques, golf, mini-golf, hiking, biking and dining options ranging from casual to full out splurges. 5 55+ ladies each had our own room! Nice house. Not super fancy but nice living room and bedrooms. Bigger and better than a cabin. Beautiful view and sunsets. Right in the water. Too cold and rainy for us to use the fire pit but it looked great. Close to egg harbor for food and such. Rob has great recos in his welcome letter. Make sure to make reservations for supper club! And perch fish fry in sister bay. Would love to come back in the summer!! Would recommend!

Beautiful location! Privacy of the woods & the water is just past the yard! We saw the deers everyday. So much space in this location! It was perfect for our long Anniversary weekend to check out Door County!

Incredible sunsets. We had never stayed on the water bayside. It will hard not to now. House had beds in bedrooms for 12. Also enough room to eat inside for 12 and outside for 12. We had up-to 8 people stay and 10 eat while staying and never felt crowded. Outdoor furniture was better than online pictures.

We were 9 adults and 2 children under 2 years. We had plenty of room for indoor activity and also enjoyed the firepit each night. Each evening, we experienced great sunsets on the Bay. Our daughter also did an outdoor baby reveal (It's a GIRL!!) This waterfront location is secluded but has great access to all that Door County has to offer.
