Dear Booking.com Customer Service Team, I am writing to formally lodge a serious complaint regarding a reservation made through your platform. Upon our arrival on 18th July at approximately 6:30 PM at Da Men Residence, the room was in an unacceptable and unsanitary condition that fell drastically short of what was advertised and what any guest could reasonably expect. The specific issues we encountered upon entering the room were as follows: the water dispenser was not functioning; there were rat droppings on the floor next to the fridge; the freezer was filthy and coated in grime; the shower had clearly been used and was not cleaned; the sink was extremely dirty, with what appeared to be mildew or mold forming; and the bed had loose hair scattered across it, strongly indicating that the linens had not been changed prior to our arrival. In addition, the air conditioning unit would not turn on at all. When we informed the property that both the water dispenser and the air conditioning were not working and they did to change the battery for aircondition Due to these severe hygiene concerns, particularly the presence of rat droppings, we did not feel it was a room we could safely stay in and were forced to leave the property immediately upon arrival that same evening. This left us scrambling to find alternative accommodation late in the day, after an already long and exhausting travel day. This was extremely inconvenient, especially considering we had booked the property in advance specifically to ensure a smooth and stress-free transition. The property was simply not a fit or acceptable place to stay. Given the gravity of these failings, we are requesting a full refund of the amount paid for this booking. The accommodation was not delivered as described and was neither clean nor habitable, and we should not be expected to bear the cost of a room in this condition.
