Very clean, spacious rooms, and everything was very well maintained. The staff was very friendly. As someone with a gluten intolerance, I informed them in advance, and they took great care of it. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.
Sometimes there is noise from the brewery downstairs, but it ends early.

The restaurant served good food and wine. Because we had told the restaurant manager that we were unhappy about Not being told about the wedding they got approval to cover our evening meal free. This was much appreciated but the wedding was still noisy.
The fact that we were not told in advance that there was going to be a wedding at Barrington's with live music on the day we arrived it started at 2.00pm and finished at 10.00 pm. We has asked for a quiet room but nowhere was quiet and we had to endure the noise until about 10.00pm . What was worse was that we learned that other guests had been told that there was a wedding with music yet we had booked it at least 4 months before. Given that the rooms are a kind of add on to the cafe and the costs of staying there we also felt that our stay was not value for money.
