Great hotel, brilliant staff

A very comfortable hotel, good value and in a great location. Both our dinner and breakfast were excellent but what really made it special was the friendliness and attention of all the staff, who were lovely.

This hotel is okay for a one or two night stop over

The main hotel reception/lounge/breakfast room had a fantastic view of the bay/beach. The breakfast was excellent.

The hotel was not really within walking distance of any shops/restaurants, it was in more of a residential area. The accommodation is somewhat spread our over a number of different buildings and consequently we had quite a walk (outside) to reach the breakfast area. Unfortunately our room had no view

Overall lovely accommodation, friendly staff in a stunning location. No generator an issue!

Location was amazing.

No generator in Cottage Pie during loadshedding was very disappointing. It has become a standard in SA, so I was extremely surprised and annoyed not to have some sort of power during these times.

Most enjoyable, far enough away from the crowds yet minutes away from restaurants.

Great location, quaint, great service, enjoyed breakfast out on the patio.

Definitely a visit again.

The location was perfect, close to the sea.

The place must invest in investor during loadshedding and air extractor make noise when you switch the lights in the bathroom.

A five star hotel is always miserable (IMHO) if you cannot dine well after a long hard day's work..!

A five star hotel with only frozen fish on the menu ? Guests having their meals flown up from Cape Town ? Hardly surprising then that the kitchen failed to impress....

Great Stay

It's located right next to the beach access, which is very convenient. We were planning to do a private BBQ (Braai) at the accommodation and staff was very helpful to set up the facility (next to the pool). Special 'Thanks' to Mossa, who helped us a lot with the kitchen stuff and cleaning the grill. Great experience, highly recommended to stay here.

Bathroom is a bit old, but staff is decorating it nicely, so not a real issue.

Nice but average

Very nice room, location at the sea, little away from City-Center. Food was good, service for dinner very friendly and professional.

Pictures on website are very positive placed. The two pools are very tiny, the hotel is very big with at least 4 houses together. Not familiar at all, but that was what was posted and we thought to book.

Second trip to lodge which we really enjoyed. Special mention to the manger on duty “Joseph” for going above and beyond

location, great breakfast, friendly staff that try hard, value for money.

TV,s a little outdated and bed was a bit worn.

Very clean and nice place to stay for some days, close to a beach, beautiful breakfast

it could be noisy if any neighbour watches TV or speak loud. During a winter could be cold and wet.

Solo traveller's adventure!

I loved how amazing and friendly the staff is! They so helpful and happy which makes you enjoy just being around them. It's like you are part of a their family! I loved how close the lodge is to the beach and how close you are to the shops! It's definitely a stone throw away! I love that i got to see the humpback whale 🐋 while on the beach! That was the cherry on top! The food was really good!!!

Not much really - when loadshedding occurred that wasn't fun. The cottage pie rooms didn't have power.
