Unglaublich herzliche Gastgeber, die uns gegen Aufpreis vom Bahnhof abgeholt haben und am nächsten Morgen eine Tour durch Nuwara Eliya gegeben haben. Man fühlt sich sehr willkommen, das Frühstück ist gut, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut fair.

Kaltes Wasser, aber so ist das eben manchmal in Sri Lanka :)

L’incroyable gentillesse de notre hôte, elle s’est pliée en 4 pour que tout se passe bien. Son fis s’est occupé de nous réserver un tuk-tuk à 5h15 du matin et elle nous a même préparé un petit déjeuner à emporter dans le train. Malgré la nuit fraîche nous n’avons pas du tout eu froid avec les grosses couvertures

Malheureusement nous n’avons pas réussi à avoir de l’eau chaude

Wir wurden sehr herzlich aufgenommen. Infos zu allen Touren und Fragen konnten uns beantwortet werden. Die Mama kocht hervorragend!

You have to stay here!

Araa and his mother are such great hosts and the kindest people ever. Room is clean, shower hot, blankets warm. Breakfast is local and very good. Mom prepared amazingly delicious dinner for us, probably the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. Araa took us on tea factory & waterfalls tour for a good price and it was very enjoyable. He also went out of his way and picked us from some distant village where we got stuck after our train stopped. We felt like at our home and would definitely come back. :)

The best stay, in the nicest place, with the most beautiful people. Definitely recommend!

The family were incredible, genuinely the nicest people we have met. The mother cooked us delicious Sri Lankan food, was so lovely and kind. The son organised us everything we needed and was so helpful and kind. The room was cozy, nice comfy bed and everything was clean. Gorgeous!

Уютный домик, не дорого. Атмосфера как у бабушки в деревне.

Ужасно холодно, полночи не спали. Нужно очень тепло одеваться. Завтрак на любителя.

Accoglienza top!

Proprietari gentilissimi e accoglienti, colazione super buona e abbondante (anche troppo per noi :)) e anche il pranzo che abbiamo chiesto all'ultimo minuto era davvero buonissimo. La stanza era molto spaziosa, pulita, il letto comodissimo con coperte molto calde (fa freddino li!). Pick up dalla stazione ferroviaria ad un prezzo onestissimo (1000LKR) e in generale un' esperienza davvero ottima. Grazie.

Parfait !

La décoration est chaleureuse et la famille très gentille et agréable. La literie est très bien, il y a des couvertures, on se sent comme à la maison. Nous avons pris le repas du soir, c’était super bon ! Le petit dej aussi.

For us the stay was not very good.

The host was good and they perpare nice breakfast for us.

The location is far from the main city (as we like to go to the main market or city by walk), while the room was small for two peoples (but will be good for one). The room have a moisture smell and the quilt were also smelly.

Cozy and comfortable stay

I will recommend this stay without any second thoughts as it was a cozy stay and easy on the pocket. The hosts are really kind and sweet , treated us like a family .Aunty cooks really well and had an opportunity to relish the new year sweets she made.

We had a lovely stay here. Very nice family who runs this place. Walking distance from Nuwara Eliya so easy to do things

Sin duda, repetiríamos!!!

El personal es increíble, te ayudan en todo, te dan servicio a tus necesidades de transporte a un precio inmejorable, te ofrecen un tour para no olvidar. Además, tienen un gato precioso y muy cariñoso.

Hacia un poco frío en la habitación, pero al comentárselo nos trajo un montón de mantas que al final hasta sobraron 😄😄

Wunderschönes Cottage mit den allerbesten Gastgebern

Eine ganz besondere Unterkunft mit ganz viel Charme. Araa und seine Mutter sind so warmherzige und tolle Gastgeber, die alles tun, damit sich ihre Gästen willkommen fühlen. Araa hat mich im Ort abgeholt und sogar zum Zug gebracht. Selbst für die Teefabrik- und Wasserfalltour hat er sich Zeit genommen. Zur Begrüßung bekam ich einen frischen Saft. Ich kann die Unterkunft nur empfehlen! Super sauber und heimelig. Auch gute Ausgangsbasis für Horton Plains. Lover's Leap Wasserfall ist ebenfalls fußläufig erreichbar. Vielen lieben Dank für die wunderschönen Tage bei euch!

Mein Cottage war etwas hellhörig, was mich aber nicht gestört hat. Für nach Nuwaraeliya Zentrum ist man zu Fuß ca. 15-20 Minuten unterwegs, das sollte man wissen.

If you stay for short time its a very cute place

Very helpful, friendly and kind hosts. The room is very cute. They serve us tea when we arrived there and they are very careful. Helped us for everything also set us a tuktuk from railway station

We will definitely come back!

Our stay was wonderful. We stayed only one night but hosts made us feel at home. When we arrived, the Host brought us hot tea. We were also accompanied by her beautiful British cat. The room was spacious and clean. It was also cold but warm blankets were provided. The next day we had a great traditional breakfast. The host also organized us a tour around Nuwara Eliya’s waterfalls and tea plantations.

The host Ara is very friendly and cared about our wellbeing, even after the checkout. The cabanas are beautiful and clean. We also did the tour to the waterfalls and the tea plantations with him and he picked us from the train station. His mother, which prepared the breakfast, is also very friendly.

The hosts Ara & his mum are simply wonderful, caring, straightforward and honest. Ara offera a very decently priced trainstation pickup from Nanu Oya for just LKR 800. He always responded very quickly when I contacted him & even while he was out of town he arranged gor a friend of his to be my tuktuk driver. The breakfast was lovely. During my 2 nights stay I had a Colonial breakfast and a Sri Lankan breakfast (delicious string hoppers).

The toilet flush would intermittently not work, but they had it fixed within minutes.

Amazing Time!

The cabin is located a little away from the centre but it’s engulfed by beautiful views and flora! The house is very beautifully built and the host Ara was too helpful and nice! The viewpoint is his USP and it’s the best! The room was very spacious and neat. The food prepared by the host was also very nice! We extended our stay as he offered to take us around tea estates and his fare was reasonable too! Totally a surreal experience and I’d 100% recommend this place to everyone! Must visit. And oh, don’t forget to pack your sweaters cause it gets so colddd in this area!

This is an exceptional little guest house the artistic decor in the room with a charming smoking alcove out side and home style meals 20/20 Wood Cabana was an easy stay with a tuk tuk service on hand to take you around .

Great valleys, waterfalls, tea fields and people!

The great host and his mother (and of course the cat). The 2020 Wood Cabana is the perfect location to walk to the center of the town and Lover's Leap Waterfall and Viewpoint. Go on a tour with the host, you definitely will have a great day.

Lovely family and a lovely home, great comfortable stay.

Lovely staff who really look after their guests. We were picked up and dropped off from train station for a reasonable price and also did the day tour for 6500 to see the waterfalls and tea plantations. The room is very spacious with a big bed and hot water for the shower. The property is away from town so a bit of a walk but didn’t bother us. The host took us to some very yummy restaurants so got to try some different foods! The cat came and slept on our bed which we loved because he was so soft and fluffy😍

We struggled to sleep with the sheets and pillows. The pillows are very big and firm and the bottom sheet was scratchy and kept bunching up and coming off the bed. The room was very cool so wear warm clothes!

Superb

The cabana is very close to the lovers leap. The host is super friendly, speaks very good English and has a tuk tuk for pick ups at the train station or e.g. driving to lovers leap. They prepared local Sri Lankan food for dinner for us. We had to leave very early in the morning and they still prepared us something for breakfast to eat on the go. We would definitely recommend to stay in one of the wood cabanas.

Great host, good location and great value

The location was great. Close walk to lovers leap waterfall and a short Tuk tuk (500 rupees) to the city centre. The Araa was great, he showed us all the best places to go and gave us a lift to the railway station.

The sheets on the bed could be a little softer. But it was still really comfortable.
