Amazing small guesthouse!

We had a wonderful time in this small guesthouse. It's very clean, the room was spacious, the beds comfy abd the breakfast delicious. Mrs. Kumari (the owner) made us feel welcome, we'd love to come back!

My family and I had a wonderful and friendly stay at Ms. Kumari's place. As the owner and host, she is incredibly kind and accommodating, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Ms. Kumari generously provides food. She gave us a fancy authentic breakfast both the days . Also she managed to provide us a delicious lunch meal upon our request which is affordably surcharged. The room is clean and comfortable, with two large beds and a bathroom with hot water. Despite being a homestay, the rooms are soundproofed for extra comfort. Everything is well-organized, and you can have tea and coffee as much as you want. The location is a short tuk-tuk ride to central Nuwara Eliya, usually costing between LKR 300 to 500 (2023 December), depending on the driver. It's a budget-friendly and safe choice for solo and family travelers. I highly recommend this place; fully worth the money. After a busy 2023, I dreamt of a relaxing time with nature, and Ms. Kumari's place delivered. It's quiet and peaceful, separated from neighboring houses. You can unwind on the front porch, enjoying fresh, cool air surrounded by beautiful lilies, daisies and a fresh wonderful tangerine tree.🌼🍃🌬️🍊🏔️🏡 Ps. Have to remind of Ms. Kumari's helper Manjula. She too was very hospitable and kind.

The only challenge is parking for longer cars due to a steep entry slope. However, for smaller cars like Suzuki Maruti's and Altos, there's no issue. Reach out to Ms. Kumari beforehand, mentioning your vehicle brand, and she might help you find nearby parking.

Liebenswertes Guesthouse in Nuwara Eliya

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt im Sri Helyes Inn. Unser Zimmer hatte ein bequemes Bett, eine warme Dusche und es war angenehm ruhig. Das Frühstück und Abendessen (auf unseren Wunsch) waren sehr lecker mit einheimischen Gerichten. Terrasse im Garten sowie Couch und Esstisch im Haus konnten wir jederzeit nutzen. Zu Fuss läuft man in max. 15min bergab ins Zentrum. Die Gastgeberin Kumari ist sehr liebenswürdig und hilfsbereit, sie organisiert Tuktuks für Ausflüge und Fahrten in die Stadt oder zum Bahnhof Nanu Oya organisiert. Danke für 3 angenehme Tage in Nuwara Eliya, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Gerne jederzeit wieder!!!

Exceptional

We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy house. It was as if we were visiting our Sri Lankan aunt. Everything was clean and tidy. Hearty Sri Lankan breakfasts were different every day. Warm blankets kept you warm at night. Hot shower with good pressure. Madame gave me a hair dryer and a thermos of hot water. Thanks for the hospitality. Would love to come back here again.

Superb

Kumari treated us like family, she was very welcoming and helped with everything she could. She packed us breakfast when we had to leave early and adapted to our needs. The best roti I have ever had!!! She also cooked nice dinners at a very fair price and kept asking if we needed anything else. The room is big and has several blankets, as it can be very cold at night. The bed is also comfy and big. The house has a wonderful garden and is located a little outside the village (20min walking). Kumari also helped us to arrange a tuktuk to take us to different nice places. She is the best host!

Hot water sometimes stops, but you just have to reset the heater and it works again.

Recommend this place to everyone who is planning to visit Nuwara Eliya.

When we got there, they gave us a warm cup of tea as a welcome. The room is spacious and tidy. It's a very quiet location, and the lady who runs it always accommodates our needs. She always answers with a lovely smile. She delivered the delicious dish we requested for breakfast. If you're staying, don't forget to eat her breakfast since it's really worth the money and the breakfast food is fantastic above our expectations. From Nuwara Eliya City, the location is only a 10–15 minute walk. The WIFI is also well-connected and fast. I have no hesitation in recommending this place for all budget travelers. My partner and I had a great stay. Thank You and all the best...

Location was good but getting there was really troublesome, 75 steps down was really hiking experience. Though the lady owner helped us to carry our luguage down.

A warm stay! Happy!

A modest and very hospitable owner. She did everything to make us feel comfortable and that worked out fine for 2 nights. We got a clean room with a really big bed. Everything neatly arranged. Tea and coffee as often as we wanted. Last night we walked to the center nearby for an Indian restaurant. So today our working day had stayed in and she offered to cook. The four curries were the tastiest yet. Breakfast was also fine. In short. Not expensive. Nice hostess. Very good food. A nice place to stay.

Good accommodation with very friendly owner

The owner is super friendly and wants to make you feel at home. She prepared nice breakfast for us and the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had breakfast in the garden and it's also really easy to walk to the center in 10-15min. The location is very cute and and quite.

The water heater had some problems and sometimes we didn't have warm water or for an hour no water at all. The wifi also wasn't the best.

Very good

Very homely homestay. I felt like I was in a cottage with a quiet, well-kept garden, lots of flowers. We were kept and looked after very well. The hostess have good empathy. One night we wanted fish and vegetables for dinner. He did it exactly as we explained. We were very happy. The beds are soft, nice pillows and a warm blanket. There is enough light in the room. Everything is clean and smells fresh. Hot water is available. You can't get it everywhere in Sri Lanka, although it is allowed.Internet was sufficient. We also had to work and we need good internet. If you want to experience a natural and genuine home, then this place is very good for that.

The bathroom was dripping a bit and the floor was wet. I hope the hostess can fix it.

We had a grate time at this place, and the owner, the lady provide a very good service. Easy to find the location when you contact the owner 0779779203, they served a authentic breakfast which was so delicious ❤️room also very comfortable and clean. Hoping to visit again and thanking the kind, friendly lady who gave us a memorable stay. Recommending this home stay for everyone who's looking for a reasonable rate with good service.

The best experience I had in Sri Lanka is, It is an awesome place and has great service. The food I ordered was above my expectation taste very good and was worth the money I paid. The host is very cheerful always smiling and is helpful with all my requirements and has great hospitality in Sri Lanka. I recommend everyone who is expecting to visit Nuwara Eliya don't miss out on visiting Sri Helyes inn about 15mnts walking from the city.

great place to stay 👌🏻

Breakfast was great .and the place is verry close to the town.Absolutely awesome place to stay.We were warmly welcomed by the hosts.Verry beautiful and verry cozzy . Bed was so comfy and bathroom were so clean.There was beautiful greenary all around and so much space. It was an awesome stay . We really enjoyed the dinner and breakfast . we were really suprised beacuse we didnt expect such kind of meal for that price .Everything was perfect❤️.

Perfect!

A warm welcome from a lovely friendly host - perfect location, just 10 minutes walk from the centre - the room was perfectly clean and a very comfy bed! Breakfast was superb, lovingly home cooked. The garden was beautiful and peaceful, close enough to the town but far away enough to escape the noise. We highly recommend this lovely home stay - lots of information available from the host... All provided with care and attention.
