Getting Around: ● From Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL): There are 7.72 miles from the FLL to Hallandale beach. ● From Miami International Airport (MIA): Hallandale Beach is 23.8 miles away from MIA. In both cases, you can either take an Uber or rent a car at the Airport. Other Things to Note: Valet Parking is not included in the reservation. Pack’n Play crib FREE available under request. The pros - views are spectacular, as are the building pools, and the staff are friendly. Layout of the unit is great for a big family. The cons - the unit required a window / door replacement and the owner did nothing about it the whole trip. The apartment was terribly noisy as a result. Zero discount offered for this. Kitchen is equipped with a hodge podge of supplies but needs new pans and bowls etc. No coffee filters were supplied and only two small packs of detergent. Backsplash was peeling off the wall, some cabinets were damaged in the bathrooms. Missing towel hooks. Strangely loud washer / drier. Stained carpets, floor was not cleaned adequately. Wrappers etc behind each of the beds. No bath as advertised and in pictures which must have been from a different unit. Very annoying - the owner offered a baby bath for my two toddlers as compensation which was useless. Three outdoor chairs for a unit that sleeps 6-8 is strange. Also note that because the unit faces the drawbridge you will hear the traffic alarm regularly as well as reviving cars and emergency vehicles, which wouldn’t have been that bad if the exterior doors sealed properly. We often had to wait 10-15 minutes for an elevator which were packed all day, and then often another 10-15 minutes for the mandatory valet parking. Lines for check in check out too. We wouldn’t stay in the building again in any unit just because of this.
