Lovely base when visiting Hawkes Bay

Stayed here for 11 nights while visiting family in the area. Thistle B&B was perfect for our needs and gave us some private space when we needed it. Gwen was the perfect host, always available when needed but invisible the rest of the time. Breakfast was good, bed was very comfortable and the location was also very good, just a few mins walk from Taradale shops and cafes.

Prettig verblijf in compacte accomodatie

Vriendelijke behulpzame gastvrouw. Ontbijt werd ruim voldoende elke dag in de koelkast klaargezet . Afwas doe niet nodig. Alle spullen werden aan het rind van de middag door de gastvrouw gewassen en schoon teruggezet

Door omleidingen elders ging er smorgens vroed vanaf 6 u veel verkeer over de weg, hetgeen goed hoorbaar was. Waarschijnlijk een tijdelijk probleem

very nicely presented, but the location made our stay less than desirable

it's just a continental breakfast, consists of milk, juice, and cereal two slices of cheese, bread, yogurt, fruit tea, coffee and two beers the ham was bad, spoiled and inedible

Location next to a very busy avenue with never ending traffic, worse yet, a traffic light makes it even worse, since you get the trucks changing gears right in front of the window and to top it off, uneven road surface and the tyres hitting the gaps making bumping noise every single car that passes by.

I liked my room space, the owner greeted me with joy and had a nice chat with her. She was very helpful. They had everything I needed for the trip. I LOVED staying there.

Its definitely my go to place to stay when I'm in Napier.

Amazing service, such wonderful hosts. Room more than my expectations. Bed was comfortable. Facilities were clean. Breakfast was great.

Loved our stay and would highly recommend.

Immaculate accommodation in a great location with easy access to all Hawke’s Bay attractions. The owners couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Made us and our dog feel very much at home. Will certainly return in the future.

beautifully presented property; Gwen was thorough with detail during our welcome and communicated well, the perfect host! Options for breakfast were great and the property was brilliant for our 3 nights, being exactly as advertised - if not better!!

Everything was as advertised and we have no complaints or suggestions to offer.

Wonderfully clean and well presented. Breakfasts were lovely and the location close to all amenities. Walking distance to restaurants. Gwen is a fantastic host!

The noise from the main street at night was a bit loud.

Great place to stay! Would definitely recommend

Gwen was really friendly and welcoming! Showed us around the room and where everything was. The room was spotless and much more than we had expected. The breakfast was great for what we needed and the location was great. It was so nice to be able to take our little dog amber along aswell.

Everything was perfect, lovely touches with things you would need for an overnight stay, breakfast was great with lots of variety, cereal, croissant, ham cheese and lots more, with a cold welcome beer for you in the fridge when you arrive, would definitely stay again😁 Gwen was so warm, accommodating and welcoming thank you.😁❤️
