The shower
Where to begin?
The room is part of a converted one bedroom apartment. All done well. It's located near the top of a deceptively steep hill making the trek a bit of a challenge more so on hot days(locals calling it Cardiac Hill).Access was fine via video sent to holiday makers. I was early at arriving but the owner kindly allowed me to leave my bag in the room while the cleaners attended to everything else.
I got back to the apartment about six pm. Exhausted after the walk I had a shower. Good shower! I decided to go for a nap but on picking up the cushions from the pillows, they were damp caused by the cushions having been washed earlier and hadn't dried. So no snooze for me! I then checked out the kitchen cupboards with everything you would need, however, when I got to below the sink and opened the door, there was the last occupants dirty food bags. I brought this to the attention of the owner who had the audacity to say they were mine!! All I was looking for was a simple apology.
With regards to description of 'no view' regarding the windows, it may well have read 'no windows!'. They were frosted and at ceiling level with curtains and bars outside the window. No fire escape here! Personally, in terms of fire safety(and being accused of leaving the rubbish myself and damaging the cushions covers), I felt very claustrophobic. Bed was slightly hollow in the middle and could do with being regularly turned.
I'd suggest this apartment is more suited to younger holiday makers due to the hill and location.
