We have stayed at many VRBO's, this one was super for the 2 of us. Brand new outdoor grill and back deck furniture. Super comfortable, firm beds and couches. Kitchen well equipped for cooking...included some basic spices, teas and coffee too. Unit has a heating and a/c unit mounted to a wall up high, so not central heat air...but totally adequate. As such, the 2 bedrooms walls do not extend to the ceiling to allow for air flow. Works well, but depending on people in your group, it may not work. All in all, we loved our stay. We would recommend this unit to others and plan to stay again during our next visit to Ashville. Super friendly and responsive owner that helped us with one issue immediately.

Great location. Much needed...quiet and peaceful after the Christmas chaos! Enjoyed the bread left by the host. Unfortunately we missed an opportunity for the glass blowing tour. Maybe we can catch it next time. I would definitely stay here again!

A relaxing retreat north of Asheville, filled with all the amenities and conveniences one may want during a vacation. I was there for R&R with a pet and found I never went to downtown Asheville as the natural beauty of the area and the close access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and local hiking trails called to me. I stayed a week and was grateful for the quiet guest house and the respectful and gracious hosts.
Just an aside: As the hosts note, realize that this is the rural mountains and your cellular phone may not have service. Check with your carrier if this is important….the host cannot “control” this aspect. The Wi-Fi was spectacular and fit my personal and professional needs. Also reiterating that the hosts expect crating of your pet while you are away. Again, this was prudent and not an issue for me. Also bring a flashlight and be cautious outdoors at night. This is bear country and they prowl the neighborhood trash cans at night. All being said, to me, the pros of this modern abode outweighed any concerns.

We really enjoyed staying in the retreat in the hills of north Asheville. It was a very different experience than staying in a condo or hotel room. It was lovely to hear the rain on the roof and to see the bear crossing in the neighborhood. The two bedrooms are separate but open at the top, so not total privacy if that is something you want. The beds were a little firm for our taste but we worked it out. The owners are very kind.

What an exceptional place. It was a peaceful setting with so many thoughtful touches. I highly recommend it.

My wife and I had a great stay at Bob’s artist loft. It was the perfect mix of peace and quiet and great convenience to downtown and the parkway, all the amenities you could need. Extra special, ask Bob about his glass shop and antique convertible.

Very unique property and very cozy. One of the walls is (pretty much) one big window which is really nice. Property owner was extremely friendly and helpful. We brough our 3 year old and 9 month old. Close to downtown/breweries/hiking. It would be a little crowded with more than 2 adults w/ kids, but 2 adults & 2 small kids or 3-4 adults w/ no kids would be fine. It was perfect. 10/10 would stay again!

Loved our stay especially the location was ideal. Everything that was advertised and more, details like full length mirrors in both bedrooms. Coffee filters would have been nice and some shelves or drawers would have helped although closets wete very adequatel. Highly recommend

Private, wooded neighborhood setting - with nearby services and yet reasonably close to downtown Asheville. Spacious, artsy unit, nicely appointed. Could use a few more dishes and flatware.

No stairs to contend with. Appointment were impressive.
Everything, I mean everything was included one would need for meal prep (except the meal). Good coffee!

This was a cozy little place in a great location to Asheville and nearby attractions. It was tucked into a wooded neighborhood which gave that feeling of being in the mountains but still close to the city. Bob was very responsive to our needs. Highly recommend if you are a very small group that likes quiet. Only wish list item would be an outdoor space to sit and enjoy coffee/wine!

We can't say enough nice things about our stay. The loft was close to everything; grocery stores, restaurants, The Blue Ridge Parkway, The Biltmore, the River Arts District, and the Botanical Gardens. We also had access to several pretty parks where we could walk our dogs.
The loft was bright and cheerful, filled with beautiful glasswork, and the beds were very comfy. We also enjoyed the homemade Artisan bread waiting for us when we arrived.
My husband enjoyed meeting the artist and touring his studio. Our dogs are older, and stairs are no longer their friends, so we appreciated the walkway to the loft, which gave them easy access, and we also appreciated that it was well-lit at night when we needed to take them out.
Thank you, Bob, for sharing restaurant recommendations and your bread recipe. If we return to Asheville again, we will definitely pay you another visit!

Wonderful VRBO stay with a nice quaint loft that gives you privacy and access to town within minutes of driving. Would absolutely stay here again!

We had a great stay at the loft apartment over xmas. The apartment is incredibly well thought out, with a well equipped kitchen complete with spices, oil, coffee and tea, as well as soap and shampoo in bathroom, etc. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets for cold spell. The apartment is cozy and aesthetically decorated. The location is convenient to downtown Asheville and grocery shopping just down the road. Our host was very attentive and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend to others and maybe revisit ourselves during a warmer season when we can visit the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is just up the road.

Bob was super easy to communicate with and helped us out when we had a last minute scheduling change. The loft is comfortable and clean. We will definitely be back!

A lovely loft decorated with nice art. Had everything you can think of - full kitchen, TV, WiFi, comfy beds, quiet. Close to Asheville and the parkway. Host's house is next to the loft, which is above his studio. He is a class artist and showed us his studio. very interesting. Only concern for some (not us) is that the bedroom windows at the top have to shades. Great views oft he trees and sky but if you need a very dark place, better bring your own eye shades. Overall a lovely stay.

We stayed here for our first anniversary. The location was accessible and gorgeous. It was close to town but far enough away to feel secluded. The loft was cozy and the TV room was a nice place to cuddle up and even has cable so we could watch our football game without having to go out! Bob and Peggy do a wonderful job of making the loft feel welcoming with lots of blankets, beautiful art, and great directions for how to operate everything. 10/10 I absolutely recommend staying here.

Our stay was amazing and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need. As described, the cell phone service was spotty at time but Wi-Fi connection was strong. I didn’t have any trouble getting an Uber to town.

Our stay was wonderful! Host was genuinely wanting our experience to be top notch and it really was. Location was great, loft was immaculate and we had a most pleasurable trip!

The property is nice. The small amenities provided are super helpful, coffee, oils, spices, etc. Large, beautiful windows make for a space where you feel outside. The bedroom walls do not go all the way to the ceiling in the bedrooms, so it provides visual privacy but you can hear everyone talking from everywhere. Definitely not a big deal. The only thing that can make it better would be an outside space to drink coffee and enjoy the beautiful yard and maybe a fire pit. Overall, a great place to stay! Would visit again.

We had a great stay. Everything was great except for the weather, but we did have a chance to view some of the area.

Beautiful Loft!!
This was our first time staying in Asheville, and this loft was the perfect place to stay! Super close to downtown and many attractions (Biltmore, botanical gardens, shopping, etc.). The loft was very nice, clean, and included many amenities to make our stay more comfortable. We really enjoyed the glass art all over the loft as well, and my husband loved the studio tour at the end of our stay! The loft was easy to find, and is located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We really enjoyed our morning and evening walks with our dog. The phone reception wasn't very strong, but the wifi worked really well, and it was kind of nice to unplug anyway. Bob and Peg were so kind, we would definitely choose this loft again!

This property was perfect for what we needed. Close to town but still in the woods. Access to the BRP on the same street. The place was clean and updated. It was exactly what was advertised.

Description fits well with property. Be aware that the loft walls in the bedrooms do not reach the ceiling so the openness might cause noisy sleep for some. The products in the bathroom were very nice. Hosts are on the property but we found them very friendly and respected our privacy. Would definitely rent again.

We had a great time at our stay in Asheville. The house was great for my two sisters and I. It was very close to everything we had on our itinerary: Grove Park lunch, downtown, grocery store. You felt very secluded. My only suggestion would be to add a chair to the main room for an additional place to sit. There were only 3 of us so no big deal but even as sisters we felt it weird for the three of us to sit together on the sofa. That would not prevent us from renting this place again in that we made it work and spent most of our time in Asheville.

My youngest daughter was graduating from eastern medicine school in Asheville, so my Florida daughter flew in and I drove over from the NC coast, we all hadn't been together in years, so I wanted our stay to be extra special. The house is very comfortable and perfectly furnished, just like home, everything we needed was there. Beds are comfortable which is important to me. We met some of the neighbors, while walking the dog, who were super nice. We saw some black bears, that was neat. It is a short drive to the grocery store and downtown Asheville is just minutes away, but I loved the country feel of the neighborhood. I can't recommend this place enough. You won't be disappointed if you decide to stay here!
