We had a wonderful stay. The property was easy to find and access, and collecting the keys was straightforward. On arrival, we were greeted with a lovely welcome touch, a cake and an information book containing useful details about the local area and contact numbers if we needed any assistance. The accommodation was exactly what we were looking for. The two bedrooms were cosy, comfortable, and both benefited from en-suite bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable, and the quality of the bed linen was excellent. The garden could have done with a little attention when we arrived, but this was taken care of during our stay, which was appreciated. We also experienced a problem with one of the doors that wouldn’t close properly. However, the response from the owners was outstanding. After contacting them, they arranged for a local representative, Tash, to come out. She arrived within around ten minutes, despite it being 8:30pm, and quickly resolved the issue.

The only downside was the Wi-Fi, which was very difficult to connect to and use. Normally this wouldn’t have been a major issue as we were there for a relaxing break, but I did need internet access briefly for work and found it almost impossible to get online.

It is well situated for accessing the hills and has ample parking outside the front door. The property was ideal for two adults as both bedrooms have ensuite showers. On the whole the place is well equipped. There are separate TVs in bedrooms, lounge and kitchen. The milk and muffins provided on arrival were very welcome.

There were just minor niggles e.g. none of the bathroom strip lights / shaver sockets were working, both front and back door mechanisms were stiff and needed attention, there weren't instructions for the cooker or microwave, and some of the information appeared out of date.

Lovely cosy place on the main road within a short drive of lots of spectacular walks. The 2 large bedrooms both had an ensuite shower room. Kitchen was very well equipped. The living area was very comfortable and the sunny garden was lovely to sit in. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Basic cleaning had been done but lots of areas needed a good clean on arrival, which wasn't great. It was spotless by the time we left. We weren't overly keen on the noise from the road and nearby train track. I'd avoid parking too close to the trees or you'll be cleaning your car.
