The views at Taharaa are amazing and the rooms are comfortable. The location is good for access to the RMNP, Estes Park, and the Mt Lily area.
Because the hotel is located along a busy road, if you leave the doors open you will hear road noise until traffic dies down (around midnight). This means you can not enjoy the cool mountain air as much as you might like. Our room's AC was not working- the staff said it probably needed to be replaced.

I loved this stay. The rooms were very comfortable and the views from the balcony were excellent. Although breakfast was included, I did not really take advantage of that because I am a late sleeper and I like to try breakfast and brunch around town. The staff was wonderful and very friendly.
My only problem was the location of the room I was in. My room was right next to the restaurant, so when I was outside it was pretty noisy with the ice machines always running, and during dinner service, there was a lot of noisy dishes being banged around. So, that made it hard to sit quietly on the balcony. I had to use my headphones when I sat out there. Next time, I might ask for a room farther away from the restaurant. Other than that, everything was great!

I loved everything about my stay at the lodge! My room was spacious, clean and cozy with an amazing view of the mountains. Location was perfect for hiking RMNP. Breakfast was delicious, staff were polite and friendly. The decor and overall aesthetic of the lodge was perfectly stunning.
I also dined at the Twin Owls twice (solo) and received a window table both times instead of being stuck in the corner or asked to sit at the bar. Food was delicious and staff were wonderful.
That I didn't stay longer.

The view was great. Coffee left at door at 7:00 am was very nice and a great idea.
Noisy from all the traffic. The first room the mattress was worn out. After being stung by bees on deck- we were moved to another bigger room, which was nice, but still very noisy. Breakfast - the ketchup and jelly packages were very old and not edible.
