This was a very cute and close getaway for our 46th anniversary. We always expect to pay double the price when we celebrate because it lands on Memorial Day weekend. This was pricey and we did get anxious to start our weekend so we arrived before 3:00 check in and had to pay 40.00 extra to get in. I was honestly a bit disappointed because I emailed the host asking for an early check in but got no reply and maybe it would not of mattered, but it was ready of course and we thought about it later and was like hmm… we should of just waited.The instructions for check in was to go to the welcome center and get your “welcome kit”and parking pass, which was a map to the house and a receipt for the 40.00 dollars. We had a great time it was very relaxing and we enjoyed the property and the people were so friendly. I would of done a 5 star across the bar but we did have a issue with the shower not draining, (hubby cleaned the trap and it seemed better) and the TV kept losing connection each night which became a bummer come late evening. Over all it was a pleasant weekend and wonderful anniversary.

I received the check in/welcome email THE DAY AFTER CHECKOUT! The cottage was obviously NOT CLEANED....so much dog hair it collected on socks, dirty underwear in the washing machine, sheets very questionable and needing to be washed before use. And absolutely no prior communication. It was very disappointing. The girls wanted to salvage a planned getaway during the "shelter in place" mandate and thought it would be safe to just hideout in the cottage together. Now we're worried that it wasn't cleaned properly.
