Located in Corolla/ 4 Bedrooms/ 2 Full Bathrooms Accessible by 4x4 only! Dolphin Watch is ideally located just 3 1/2 miles from the end of the paved road in the Swan Beach area. You will enjoy unobstructed ocean views from both levels. Plenty of decks and screen porch perfect for enjoying the out of doors. Walk out your door to the Atlantic Ocean and stroll on the quiet beach with your morning coffee. Ground Level: Exterior amenities include a picnic area, carport and enclosed outside shower. Inside you'll find a bedroom with a Bunk Set and stairs to the mid level. Mid Level: Entry Level. Spacious den with large flat-screen TV, foosball table, deck access and the “secret wet bar” (a small area with refrigerator and sink). Queen Bedroom, Bedroom with DuoBunk (double on bottom, single on top), full hall bathroom, laundry with washer and dryer and the hot tub is on the deck. Top Level: Living room with large flat-screen TV/DVD, game area and deck access to a sun deck or the screened porch with bar table. Kitchen with breakfast bar seating 2 and dining area seating 8. Lookout nook with ocean views and a Queen Bedroom with semi-private bathroom (second door from the bathroom to the living areas). Extras: Hot Tub, two 4x4 parking passes (with $50 cash deposit), 2 flat-screen TVs (satellite), DVD player, foosball, Wifi, book library, DVD library, charcoal grill/smoker, 2 full size refrigerators, screen porch, stereo and linens and towels provided. No Smoking. No Pets. Full week rentals only. Beds: 2 Queens, Bunk Set, DuoBunk. Distance to beach access: Oceanfront. House Address: 1662 Sandfiddler Road, Swan Beach. Key Type: Keyless entry. CHECK IN LOCATION: 1023 Ocean Trail, Corolla Office. Linens and towels provided at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep sofas, top bunks and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub. 4-WD REQUIRED - This home is only accessible by high clearance Four-Wheel-Drive vehicles such as a Jeep Cherokee, Ford Explorer, etc. You will be driving on the beach, over dune lines and in soft sand. Swan Beach is convenient for families with children and older folks because it is not necessary to walk to the beach. A walk over the dune or a 30 second drive in your four wheel drive vehicle brings you out to the beach where you can park right on the beach and enjoy the luxury of having all your beach goodies at your fingertips and enjoy the day! Wild horses roam the area as well as fox, deer, and lots of waterfowl on the sound. Beach Parking Passes are required to park on the beach from the last Saturday in April through the first Saturday in October. You do not need a pass to drive on the beach or park at the home. Two 4x4 parking passes are included with each 4x4 vacation home with a $50 cash deposit (refunded when passes are returned). Passes can be picked up at our Corolla Office (1023 Ocean Trail) during business hours. If more than two passes are needed, there are a limited number of additional available parking passes each week that can be purchased from Currituck County (https://currituckcountync.ticketspice.com/currituckbeachparking) The cost for a 4x4 parking pass is $50 and can be purchased online, but has to be picked up in person at the Corolla Visitor Center (500 Hunt Club Drive). Please double check Corolla Visitor Center business hours when planning your trip.

Dolphin Watch - A Great Place to Stay

This property was one of the best properties that we have stayed in at Carova Beach. The house is very spacious and the owners have thought of everything to make the house a great vacation destination. The milkshake maker and ice cream maker were a hit. We watched the dolphins off of the top deck every day, multiple times a day. The horses grazed right in the backyard and provided entertainment all week. Thanks for giving our family an amazing week!

There were a lot of little things wrong here that really added up. Firstly, none of the beds are queens, as listed. They are fulls. And they're old, worn out fulls at that. You'll feel every spring and constantly dip into the middle. Linens were also of poor quality. There's no popcorn maker in the house, which is shown clearly in the pictures. Our kids were disappointed to see that it wasn't actually there. The smoke detectors were all either disconnected or malfunctioning, going off randomly. This house had no hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, or toilet paper. The kitchen was by far the worst though. There was absolutely no organization, random kitchen tools were just thrown into every cabinet. 2 knife blocks, but no full set of knives. Just 17 poor quality knives stored randomly. No real set of glasses or cups, just a mishmash of things that have been left over the years. No set of pots and pans, again just a completely random assortment of garbage quality, scratched up teflon pans with half-melted plastic spatulas. There was one decent stainless steel pan and spatula that we used. They must have been accidently left by a previous renter. The house itself was nice enough though. Good living space, open kitchen/dining/living area. Very nice set of binoculars and a small telescope, lots of board games. Short walk to the beach. But we will definitely be booking a new house for next year.
