About this house rental
Situated in Iowa, this attractive house for $425 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Oakmont Lodge is 1 mile to the GTA Owners Club and a 7 mile drive to downtown Galena. This home is dog friendly, Max of 2, pet fee required. When you walk in you will fall in love with the high ceilings and lodge feel. Sit back and relax in front of the fire or enjoy our 55" Smart TV. The living room is open to the dining room and kitchen. Our kitchen is stocked and ready for you to entertain. The frig with ice maker, large gas stove and huge 3 section sink, will make prepping and cooking a breeze. Our dining room table seats 12 people for meals, games and easy conversation. Next step into the game room and find another amazing spot for everyone to be together. You will find a pool table, seating, flat screen TV, cocktail arcade game and wooded views of the outdoors. Step to the rear of the main level and you will enjoy the private and quiet Master bedroom space. A king bed with two closets and access to the en suite bathroom are everyone's favorites. The recently remodeled Master bath features a garden jacuzzi tub, double sinks and double showers one being a rain shower. Relax and enjoy! You will have access to the backyard where you will find comfortable seating and large outdoor hot tub that is available for use year round along with a small rock fire pit. When you head upstairs to the second level you will find 4 large bedrooms that feature en suite bathrooms - no sharing bath space here. Three of the 4 bedrooms have King beds and one has 2 Queen beds so absolutely everyone in the group can sleep in a bed. Every single bedroom has their own flat screen tv with Mediacom cable. There is plenty of room to bring sleeping bags or air mattresses if you wish but we cannot sleep more than 12 people. Please note guests do have access to the 3 car garage at this home. There is an additional refrigerator in the garage for overflow. You will have access to the GTA Owners Club while staying with us. The indoor pool is open year-round and the outdoor pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. The club is an exclusive amenity that can be used by only Galena Territory property owners and their guests. The Owners' Club includes an indoor swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool w/slides, a kiddie pool, fitness room, game room, indoor/outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts, seasonal snack bar, free WiFi and outdoor playground. Don't forget to visit Lake Galena and The Shenandoah Riding Center. Disclaimer: You may not have enough cards for your entire group. Guest passes can be purchased for just $5 a day at the GTA admin office or pool entrance, staying with us grants you access, it may not be free. Please remember usage of the amenities is NEVER guaranteed. We do not discount or refund due to their closure. When you book a home with us we will require 30% down, this is a payment not a deposit. The full balance is due 14 days prior to check in. If you cancel prior to the 14 days you will receive the first payment less a $35 cancellation fee. At the 14 day mark your stay will become non-refundable and dates cannot be adjusted. Your payments will automatically be processed to the card you place on file at the time of booking. Your rental agreement (sent after booking) will reflect the due dates and amounts. Please NOTE: You will be required to sign an electronic rental agreement at the time of booking, we ask this be signed and filed within 48 hours of receiving to guarantee your reservation. You must be 25 or older at the time of booking. Our cancellation policy is NOT flexible, we highly recommend travel insurance. Travel insurance is offered at the time of booking and up until 15 days prior to check in. The provider is CSA. Check in details are sent 3 days prior to your arrival to the email on file. This includes the home's address, the access code and other pertinent home/area information. Early check in is never guaranteed and cannot be considered until the night before or morning of your arrival. The check in details will cover the check in process 25 or older at the time of booking. Our family had a great experience staying at Oakmont Lodge. Everything was as listed in the description. There was plenty of room for our group of 12 to gather together. Everyone enjoyed the game room! The beds were comfy and each bedroom spacious. We would definitely return to this property if we come back to Galena in the future!

Our family rented Oakmont and 2 other homes nearby for a reunion of 26 people. Oakmont was WONDERFUL. We loved the bar area which we used for both serving a buffet meal or having the kids eat. The game room on the main floor meant that we could watch kids playing while still at the table. In addition, it was easy to step right outside to the grill or additional seating to eat or converse. This continuity made for good connection. The long table in the DR was wonderful and easily sat 16. The proximity to the owner's club made for easy access to the pool and game rooms. We highly recommend Oakmont for large groups.

House was chosen for accommodation while attending my daughter’s wedding in Apple River, IL.
Top priority was pet friendly (dog was in the wedding), second priority was each bedroom had a bathroom and last was the game room, hot tub and fire pit.
Front/side garden beds definitely needed some cleaning. Lots of weeds.
Outdoor amenities were not used since the hot tub had stuff floating in the water when we opened the top and ants were crawling up the side of it. Did not use the outdoor fire pit because of all of the debris in the gutters(no hose in sight). I have photos of everything.
Interior was clean but worn. Two bathroom mirrors had black spots across them. Ceiling fan in one bedroom was shut off due to noise and shaking. Floors upstairs were uneven and had slid under our feet near the stairs. Top of stairs had an area where it would be very easy to fall (I have photo) Rug in main room curled at the edges and presented trip hazards. No curtains or blinds on windows so no privacy on first floor main area. Master bathroom has no real privacy due to game room door (has curtain but that’s ideal). Glass doors on bathroom have no privacy panel.
Disappointed because we really wanted to enjoy the house.

My group of girls love this house. It allows us to be together while doing different things because it's so open. We've stayed in several different places in the territory and this is by far our favorite place so we continue to come back. We love that we can all(12 people) sit at the table together for meals and easily sleep the 12 people in VERY comfortable beds. The house has many amenities for a large group to enjoy!!

This is the second time our family has stayed at this beautiful property. There were 11 of us with ages ranging from 10 to 77 years old, and it has enough bedrooms, bathrooms, and living space to spaciously accommodate all! The game room and hot tub are fabulous. The response from Management when I noticed there were no dishwasher detergent/pods was immediate, and were delivered to our door. The house/property is beautiful, clean, and within minutes to the Owners Club where we enjoyed the pool, basketball court, and gym. We would stay here again!

Upon arrival we discovered an issue with one of the kitchen appliances and the property manager was very responsive and found a temporary alternate solution for us during our stay. Kitchen appliances, especially microwave and oven, are in need of some updating. Location is very convenient to the Owners Club and the golf course. Game room area was a big hit with the kids.

Rented this 7 months prior to planned event (daughter's wedding weekend at Eagle Ridge) and am glad we did, as this rental is popular for large groups. Spacious, beautiful, homey and very accommodating with lots of beautiful spaces for entire group. Never did figure out how to use the microwave, but that might be on me.
