Good sized, clean, comfortable room. Excellent food on the restaurant.
Lovely grounds with spectacular views.
Small bathroom which was on the listing however some hooks on the bathroom door would help hang towels when showering. There was a mirror above the bed which was in the wrong place if you wanted to sit up in bed.
A little disorganised for breakfast and meal times as it appeared staff were unclear about tables and their respective orders. For example, my husband ordered eggs as part of the additional breakfast items and we believe these were delivered to the table behind us. Similar experience for our evening meal and coffee order.

Good quirky rustic hotel in a lovely setting.
We were there Sunday to Tuesday and the restaurant wasn’t open and no access to food or drinks during the day which was disappointing. Also no staff around to ask/ help during the daytime apart from the cleaners.

Good onsite restaurant - pricey but value for money with good service.
Excellent community room with kitchen facilities available and interesting selection of books in the library.
Attractive setting and location.
Grounds were unkempt and neglected. Pool, ponds and landscaping needed care and attention. Piles of horse manure in grounds surrounding swimming pool.
We stayed in two different rooms - both were smelly - the first because of poor drainage; the second due to chemical wood preserver. Previous guests had moved out of our second room because of the smell.
Quite expensive for what was offered.
