The hotel is close to the end of the valbona-theth trail. The view from the hotel is superb, the perfect place to watch the sunset. The room was a good size, and the bed comfortable . It had a fridge which was convenient. The selection at breakfast was small, but I managed to find things I enjoyed (especially the little doughnuts). It was a short walk from other restaurants and the place where buses depart to shkoder. The food in the restaurat was delicious! We ate there both nights as we enjoyed it so much the first night.
The bathroom was a bit small. There was a door for the toilet, but no door for the shower area, and as the roof was sloping, it was awkward to move around. There was the option to pay in Euro or Lek, but as they use their own exchange of 1 Euro = 100 lek, it was more expensive to pay in Lek. I would recommend bringing Euros.

the room was lovely and suituated nicely in Thet, where one could look down at the valley. the hotel hae a nice oldish mountain-charm to it.

The location and mountain scenery are beautiful. The rooms feel updated and clean with nice bedding and shower. The vibe at the restaurant was nice
We chose Alpet as our splurge accommodation after completing the Valbona–Theth hike because we wanted somewhere comfortable to relax and recover. Unfortunately, it ended up being the most disappointing stay of our trip.
The biggest issue was the noise. There was a loud generator running outside our room for most of the day, despite being told at reception that it wasn’t always on. Throughout the night, a device in reception beeped continuously every second, and each time the power went on and off, the room phone chimed loudly several times. Neither my friend nor I got much sleep during our stay.
Communication was also lacking. We weren’t informed that the power would be off overnight, which meant no Wi-Fi and repeated disruptions. When I became very sick and was vomiting for several hours, I went downstairs asking for help but was simply told there was no medicine and that I needed to walk to the clinic, which I physically couldn’t do at the time. I also struggled to find drinking water overnight while dehydrated.
What made this especially disappointing was the price. We paid considerably more than many other guesthouses in the area because we expected a more comfortable experience and better hospitality. Instead, we left exhausted and disappointed. Throughout our trip, we heard wonderful stories from other hikers about how helpful and welcoming their guesthouse hosts were, so our experience really stood out for the wrong reasons.
