Regrettable

Filthy inside and out. Litter and trash all around unit with garbage overflowing the fire pit.

The location is a good, especially when you have children.

Overall, the location was great however we are not happy with our stay at the price we paid.

The location.

When we arrived, the floors were not swept and covered in sand. The bathroom towel rack came out of the drywall on the first night when a bathing suit was hung on it. The air conditioner in the living room does not blow cold air. The bathroom was significantly hotter than the rest of the house, and also consistently smelt like urine throughout our stay. When we arrived, the rooftop patio of the building was covered in empty beer cans and the couch cushions were strewn about the floor.

Superb

The cleanliness was very good, love how it was ready when I got there and was already fully furnished with dishes in the kitchen.i didn't have to go buy anything for cooking. And the location was just amazing 😍. Would most definitely go back and stay there again.

There wasn't a broom 🧹 when we got back from the beach, was lots of sand coming in.but I went and bought a broom from Walmart. No biggie

It would have been well worth it to pay an extra $200 a night for a cleaner place without broken bed

I didn't like that the sofa bed was broken when we got there and had no bed clothing on it. I also didn't like that the bed in the smaller room made so much noise that it always woke me up evertime I moved. The place needed to be mopped and swept so bad that I had to mop it myself, the sand was everywhere including the beds we had to wash all the bedding. If we didn't bring our beach quilt we wouldn't have had any covers for the kids untill the day after we got there and had to request some. All the dishes where dirty and dusty like that haven't been cleaned in a long time. We had to wash all the dishes.

It was decent. I will not book through vasca again.

The location.

I called 2 times for help about a few things and no one came nor called me back. There was left over men’s under wear in the room with the half beds where my child’s had to stay. We had no bed comforters. Sheets only. I was not told in advance to bring my on bed cover. So my family had I had to go spend extra money on blankets just so we had cover.

I absolutely loved this place!

It was clean & close to the beach

There could have been a broom & dust pan so I could’ve swept & I didn’t have enough trash bags to throw all of my stuff away.I know there is housekeeping but I would’ve liked to clean up all the sand off the floor.

the convenience to beach access

the black mold on the a/C units, the extremely noisy upstairs guests, the yard work (mowing blowing) being done while we were staying and while my child was trying to nap, the a/c unit in front bedroom not working properly(either FREEZING the room out or burning up)

Overall, it serves its intended purpose

It was very clean and well stocked with kitchen and bath items.

Low ceilings. Bathroom sink stopper did not work properly. Window AC didn’t keep the temperature to my liking.

Ruined Vacation

It was spacious

I was told it was bottom floor, I told them I couldn't do stairs well I was assured there were no stairs and it was an upper unit, which limited what I could do, I kept getting told someone would call me back after I got there. Noone ever called. It says it had a pool and it doesn't.

the proximity to the beach.

the beds were very uncomfortable. We also had a few roaches on the floor when we got there. it’s a stretch to fit 6 adults in this property.

perfect location.. there was no coffee maker, I contacted the staff and was promptly delivered a new coffee maker that morning!

we had a great time, if it wasn’t for the cheap mattress I would return. it’s bad when a 5 year old chooses to sleep on

location was great for us. only 1/2 mile from the state pier, couple mins from the restaurants and water park and amusement walk. also short walk to the beach!

check in at 4 wasn’t ready and had grocery already purchased for our 4 night stay. luckily we were in there within 45 mins. they threw the dirty sheets in the closets but everything else was clean. The king bed slept like crap. probably be better off on floor. you can feel the springs in your back. the two pillows on the bed aren’t comfortable either. bring your own pillows, comforter and ear plugs for the loud window units

Needs Rehab

Location. The bathroom was fine (shower worked good), as was the kitchen area.

Beds were very uncomfortable. Two tv's but only one remote...would not allow both to be on simultaneously. Three air conditioners with remotes, but none of remotes worked. I did provide detailed text memo detailing some of issues to Vacasa. This rental unit needs total rehab. I recommend Vacasa staff visit this rental unit and go over all issues I reported. I am 80 years old, have rented many places through the years, but don't recall so many negative issues as experienced here.

Will book again!

Literally right across the road from Gulf Shores Beach. It was convenient, clean, and easy to access. Loved the outside shower head to reduce the sand in the house.

Having the lower level, walking from the upper rental could be heard pretty easily.
