About this house rental
Nestled in Acadia National Park, this charming house for $311 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. *Special winter rate Nov-Mar is for 6 guest total only. In season sleeps 6 adults maximum plus 2 children or a total of 8 not to exceed 6 adults. Mount View is the newest edition to our properties. This property has amazing Mountain views and a peak at some Sound (Ocean) from most rooms. A spacious 4 Bedroom, 2 Bathrooms property with completely open living room-dining room and kitchen living. The main floor houses the open concept living quarters with double sliding doors to a huge deck overlooking the mountains, a peak at Somes Sound with ocean breezes and spacious grounds, it also houses the first bathroom with shower. The kitchen is fully-equipped with anything the chef in you should require. There is a kitchen island that seats four, a dining room for an additional eight and an outside dining set for 6. The upper level is home to the four spacious bedrooms. Three of the bedrooms offer very comfortable and spacious queen beds. The fourth bedroom (bunk room) has four twin-sized beds children sized guests. *****The property will accommodate 6 adults MAX, with a maximum of 8 total with children. The second bathroom with a shower is also on the second level. The huge deck is great for taking in the views, cooking on the supplied gas grill and spending quality family time. There is also a firepit with seating in the spacious yard for you to enjoy. Wake up to incredible mountain views from your bed. We are just minutes (2 to 3 miles) to some of Acadia National Park's most popular hiking and biking trails, as well as great swimming at Echo Lake Beach. We are within 8 miles of downtown Bar Harbor and minutes to everything that our beautiful Island has to offer, without having to endure the lack of privacy with downtown properties and the huge crowds and noise from the cruise ship traffic while staying in Bar Harbor. Please note: we are dog friendly, however you must inquire first with breed and size. We have a two dog maximum and charge a pet fee of $150 for their stay. Supplied items: All linens and bath towels, some beach towels, a Kuerig and drip brewer, Crock pot/air fryer, microwave, dishwasher, all the pots, pans and dishware you will need. We supply laundry detergent, dish detergent, dish washer detergent, hand soaps, trash bags, some spices. Also a couple of rolls of toilet paper for each bath and a starter roll of paper towels. *******The downstairs living area has a heat pump for heating, as well as cooling needs, A/C. The upstairs bedrooms only have ceiling fans, no a/c and individually controlled heat thermostats. Usually cooler breezes in the evenings since we are coastal. Very spacious and cozy house with an open concept. Perfect for my wife and I and our pups. The house is on a VERY quiet road with very little foot and vehicle traffic. The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances/other cookware needed for our Thanksgiving. The bed was super comfortable. Erica was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Bar harbor was 15-20 minutes away and pretty much a straight shot. Highly recommend!

Amazing Mountain views was a great place to stay. The home was clean, had current furnishings and was stocked well with towels, etc. The kitchen was stocked well also. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Location was great for Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Host was easy to work with. Would definitely recommend this home!

We really enjoyed our stay at Erica's Mountain View home in Mt. Desert. The location was great - close to everything Acadia that we wanted to visit, close to Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor and to a great coffee shop (Milagros) and the IGA Foodmart so we didn't always need to run into BH to Hannafords. The house was updated, clean and comfortable for our family of 5. The upstairs was a bit warmer than we would've liked but the AC units worked hard as did the fans to cool the rooms down. It wasn't a big deal for us. The yard was great for our boys to play outside and we all enjoyed the fire pit and fire wood stand at the street corner was convenient. The hosts were very responsive the few times I messaged them and live nearby which was great.
Overall, we liked the area and really liked the house and would consider staying again!

The house was a great location and not too far from all the locations and attractions of Acadia National Park or Bar Harbor. The house itself was very clean and cozy with plenty of space. Some of the heating/cooling was hard to work with and figure out but overall place was great. It does get a really dark outside without the lights so if you go out and will be coming in at night, leave one of the outdoor lights on. Balcony was a great site to sit and eat or just spend time with family. The Fire Pit is great to make s'mores at night.

We’re especially grateful that the owners allowed us to,change the dates of our stay days before our original start date, after a family emergency. The house is lovely, well equipped and has an open first floor that allowed our family from ages 9 months to 82 to be around each other but in our own space at the same time. We loved our stay there.

This is our second stay at one of Erica's properties and we have loved it both times! Check in is a breeze and the house was well outfitted with everything you could ask for to have a great trip. Kitchen was a well stocked with cooking and cleaning items and we were able to cook great meals while we were there. The beds are comfortable, and the views of the mountain across the sound are simply fantastic for sipping coffee and watching the birds!
Erica is a fantastic communicator and I wouldn't hesitate in the slightest to book with her again. Thanks for helping us have a great trip!

Great house for a big family vacation
My family of 4, my parents & my sister’s family of 4 stayed at this property. It was great. Really nice & comfortable & clean with plenty of indoor & outdoor space. It would be nice if the upstairs (where all of the bedrooms are) had AC, but we all loved it nonetheless. We brought a window fan. Great location. Minutes from Southwest Harbor, which is a cute little town. About 17 min from Bar Harbor & a ton of trails & carriage paths. It’s a little less than 30 min from Sand Beach. It worked for us. Erica, the owner, responded within minutes the couple of times I messaged her. Would definitely rent this property again! 6 adults & 3 kids & a baby fit perfectly.

Perfect for our family reunion
We rented this house and the sister property at 7 Grant Hill Road for a family reunion. Everyone appreciated the quiet location and easy access to the Western parts of the island.
The home was lovely with comfortable sleeping and gathering areas. The large deck was a perfect gathering area for the whole family to enjoy. We had a wonderful time, and appreciated the homes and easy communication with Erica.

Wonderful Stay

Each bedroom had its own temperature control which is excellent. Our grandchild needed her room to be warm, while my husband and I like our room to be really cold when sleeping. All the appliances worked and we made a wonderful meal. The view, especially in winter when you can see the sound is beautiful. We loved it and would return.

The other rooms cooled a bit during the night with open windows, but the room with the twin beds really keeps that heat in unfortunately. Our young kids were so hot during the night and no efforts to cool it down helped on one particular night when the temps didn’t drop much. Otherwise great home and would totally recommend!!

Couldn't have been better...
We had a great time at the rental, besides it being like new with many amemitiee, clean, and convenient, the kids loved the yard and fire pit! The location is great for seeing the whole island and central to everything we wamyre to see. Our kids didn't want to go back home because they wanted to stay at the house. Thanks to the owners for a great 4 day family getaway!

The property itself was very nice and clean. It comfortably fit the 10 people in my party. However, the property owner is out to scam people, so renters beware. Not only were we rushed out the door at 9am on the day of checkout by the cleaning crew, but later that day, I received several harassing texts from the property owner regarding her dining room table and bench, which she claimed we had scratched. I received several pictures from her of the zoomed in scratches and a note requesting that I replace her entire dining room set due to the damage. I was taken aback by the request, since it seemed far fetched, especially for something that I would consider normal wear and tear given the nature of the business she is in. I knew that we couldn't have caused those scratches as we hardly sat at the table and mostly ate on the go or on the kitchen island. My party and I had been very careful not to break or damage any items of hers as we were very impressed by the condition her house was in. Also, I take pictures of the conditions of rental properties before and after my stay and I would have noticed the scatches had they been there before checkout. I asked her to send me a zoomed out picture of the table and bench pointing to the spot of the scratches. She replied that she had people in the house now and would send me the requested pictures in a week after they had checked out. I never received the pictures. Save yourself the headache and rent somewhere else, not worth the scam.

This house is located on what's referred to as the "Quietside" of MDI but could not have been more convenient for our group. The house is within minutes of some fantastic local hikes (Acadia Mt) and within 20 minutes to Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mountain and more. There is also a lovely town (Southwest Harbor) with several restaurants and shops within a few minutes of the home and a market for all of our grocery needs. The house itself boasts a beautiful mountain view from an expansive deck and had all the conveniences you would want at a rental. The beds were comfortable (we were a party of 10) and plenty of room for group dining and lounging in the living room. There were many "extras" waiting for us - games, lobster pot, extra firewood, plenty of plush towels, dual coffee pot/kuerig style and Roku TVs. The host was incredibly responsive and check-in/out was a breeze. Beautiful and peaceful setting to relax after a day of hiking and sight seeing. I highly recommend this brand new home which suited our family perfectly! We will be back.

We really enjoyed staying at Hall Quarry
We enjoyed staying at the Hall Quarry house. Its conveniently located to Bar Harbor as well as other smaller towns like East Harbor. We loved open space leaving area downstairs as well as upstairs bedrooms. Very well equipped kitchen! Thank you Erica for being easily accessible and very responsive. The house has two pairs of sliding doors going out to a big deck that you can enjoy all day. We were able to use fire pit in front of the house. The house offers everything and more. We enjoyed so much we didn’t want to go home.
