About this house rental

Located in North Eastham, this lovely house for $405 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Thumpertown beach here is one of the most popular bayside beaches but it’s small parking lot is exclusive to residents. The Alpine House is just a short walk from the steps leading down to the beach so you never have to pay to park. Walk up from the beach and shower in your outdoor shower. Cookout on your deck, play in the game room, kayak the bay, play Bocce or pick veggies from the garden. Or spend your entire vacation on the beach, if you wish. *Sat-Sat in July & Aug We respect the autonomy of our guests but are available by text, email, phone, carrier pigeon, smoke signal, yodeling, or Facetime Bayside beach. Very central to everything. Close to Cape Cod Rail Trail (bike trail), kettle ponds, ocean side Coast Guard and Nauset Light beach, Salt Pond Visitors Center, Eastham Windmill, and First Encounter beach. You wake to the breezes blowing off the bay and ruffling the curtains. The sound of seagulls overhead cawing to each other as they scout for their next meal breaks the silence of the morning. As others are jockeying for the limited spots at the popular Thumpertown beach, you just grab your towel and head out the door. It’s just a short walk to the stairs heading down to the beach so it is easy to come and go as you please. After kayaking the bay, playing in the salty waves, or exploring the sand bars after the tide has gone out, a quick rinse in the large outdoor shower is all you need to freshen up for the evening’s events. You can help yourself to the fruit trees or the pick-your-own vegetables in the garden before firing up the grill for a fantastic cookout. Everyone is enjoying each other’s company while relaxing in the hammock and sitting around the deck watching the friendly competition going on in the bocce court, or the crazy game of badminton happening at the nets. You take a deep breath and breathe in that salty Cape air, breathing out the tensions and feeling the stress leave you like the tides. Let’s walk through your vacation home. The first bedroom has a comfortable queen for two and a single. The second bedroom houses a double bed and a single bed, and the third bedroom has a large king-sized bed. Downstairs, just off the game room, is the perfect spot to tuck the little ones at night. This bedroom has two sets of bunk beds just perfect for kids (not recommended for adult sleeping). The full-sized kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal, a breakfast bar, and a dining area. Or you can eat out on the fully screened in porch at a table with enough seating for the whole family. Each reservation comes with a complete guide to the best local’s insider tips and places to go, things to do, and places to see. You will also be staying close to Wiley Park and Great Pond, some of the greatest freshwater kettle ponds on the Cape. Hop on the bike trail (the CCRT) and take a ride out to Nauset Light or maybe to the Chocolate Sparrow for a coffee. Everything is within reach here for the perfect family vacation. Our Thumpertown Beach Alpine house is the perfect place to create memories that will last a lifetime. We would love to share all that Cape Cod has to offer, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions you may have! We loved staying at Alpine House. It felt private and had all the amenities we could have asked for. They provided all the beach equipment and towels, along with boogie boards and even a wagon to get it down the road. We were big fans of the screened in porch, which allowed us to have dinners "outside" without getting bitten by mosquitos. The beach is only a few minutes walk, but it is a very small beach, so try to get there earlier to get a good spot. The water was lovely and warm and not too deep. Perfect for our almost 7 year old. Would highly recommend this property.

This house was a perfect vacation spot for our family of 5 adults and 2 children (3 & 6). The linens were a must, nothing better than all the beds made upon arrival. They thought of everything in this rental, even little touches that you would not expect. Location is perfect for swimming on the beach and sunsets. Highly recommend!!

I’ve been traveling for 20 years and never encountered anything like this. We selected this property for its location and the central air conditioning, as I have 3 little kids and like to keep the property secure at night with the windows shut. We let Tara, the property manager, know the air conditioning was broken on our 1st full day at the property. On our 2nd day, around lunchtime, I asked by text if they’d had any success in contacting a repairman. Tara surprisingly replied that AC for the property was ‘clearly not necessary’ and subsequently abruptly cancelled the reservation mid-stay, which was not what I requested or desired in the middle of my son’s birthday weekend! Prior to this there was 1 phone call and 2 casual texts about getting the house cooler over an 18 hour period from me, which I thought was pretty normal/reasonable for a customer who paid a premium for an air conditioned house. We were at the beach when she apparently sent the app message to “vacate the property” with no specified timeline. Shortly after we returned from the beach for the day, she suddenly appeared in the living room—she had let herself into the house unannounced. She immediately began stating that I had been “converted to a trespasser” in front of my children while standing in the living room. She then stormed out of the house and called the police. I was in total shock. The officers who came were very patient and understanding—they categorized this as a civil matter and we agreed that it would be best and safest for all to stay at a hotel down the street. My son has been asking me all day why the police came to see Mom and Dad! We had to hurriedly throw everything in the car and find somewhere to go for our final night in the area.
