It was located close to the elementary school that holds the annual Core Sound decoy show. Very nice place. We were completely satisfied. Furnished with anything you will need during your stay. Thanks so much for opening this home to us.

This was one of the best places i have stayed. Owners are wonderful hosts. We fished so much we didnt even turn on the tv in the house and most of the time we where there was spent on the back porch!

I lived on HI from the age of 3 to 15. Our place became the Harkers Island Ferry and National Park Service headquarters. The house was great for family get togethers, great beds, Ac, well stocked kitchen and clean! Convenient to all Cape Lookout activities. Even if it was just the 2 of us I would rent it again. Hosts were great and attentive. We pulled our boat and had plenty of space to enjoy the Harkers Island experience. Thank you Pat for allowing us a great family get together and trip down memory Lane!

What an amazing week!! We had coffee on the porch each morning with the amazing sounds of birds. We were here for a family reunion and it was our home away from home for the week. Everything we could think of was there which was so nice and relaxing. Thank you!!

This is the fourth time we have stayed in the Gates’ house. We absolutely love it and look forward to it every year. The location is fantastic for going to Cape Outlook and the house has all the amenities of home. I highly recommend this property and location for an incredibly peaceful getaway.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The home was very cozy exactly what we needed. We' loved the screened in back patio. The neighborhood was very quiet and relaxed, the view was lovely from The surrounding areas. It was so fun exploring the outer banks area. We enjoyed it so much we arr even considering moving closer to the area in the future.

We enjoyed the luxury of having a house to eat at, not dining out every meal. It was very nice to have table and chairs and actual sitting area in the home, compared to the hotel. The house was located within 15-20 minutes from many of the attractions we were interested in visiting. Great first time renting a home!!!
