Lovely spot but access arrangements are problematic and I didn't spot the $250 security deposit

Lovely location right by the beach. Nicely fitted out room with very comfortable bed, nice bedlinen. Good shower. Rockport is gorgeous and was the perfect location for our last night on holiday.

Check-in was a dreadful experience. Out of season, the hotel is apparently not manned (not sure that is obvious on the particulars). I had to go through an online check-in process uploading pictures etc which not being a young thing, I hated. Then I was told they required a $250 dollar deposit before they would give me the key and they were going to call me. No call - apparently they can't call international numbers. So I landed up having to call them and incur a load of international dialling charges. Apology by the outsourced service company but no compensation. When I finally got into the room, I noticed some cans of water by the coffee machine - which I assumed were complimentary - nice hotels generally put a free bottle of water out. Having opened one, I then read that they would be charging me $2 and I assume that has now been deducted from my security deposit. Unbelievably iirritating. My room number was changed because of a maintenance issue. During the night, I was also kept awake by a flashing light at the bottom of the aircon - which went all night. So although a comfortable bed, I can't say I had a great night's sleep. This is a lovely spot but I wouldn't stay there again simply because of the aggravation of trying to get in and I don't like being charged for a bottle of water!

Too short

Too much noise with bar on deck open to the public right outside our room. Could here other doors be opening and closing all night. Love the view and the deck, plus everything was very clean, but the rooms are extremely small for the high price we paid.

Never again.

The weather.

Room was advertised for $495. Website states a $250 security deposit will be charged so we didn’t think twice about the $700+ final charge. After hours on phone they are denying there was security charged. We were there for funeral. We have many ties to Rockport and have been going for decades.

Gorgeous hotel, even better location

It was right across the beach, fabulous location. Very modern and well kept. Clean and easy to get too!

We had very loud neighbors above us and woke us up each night. You could hear every step they took, and they were blaring music on our second night. We did call the hotel and they did make two calls to them and followed up with me via text and email which was great but very frustrating to be away for a weekend with a two year old and he woken up each night and he worried about them waking our child up.

We won't be returning.

there was no breakfast. the coffee machine was convenient.

There was no ice machine. Had to drive to get ice after a 5 to 6 hour trip. Had to call some unknown person multiple times to get heat. It never did work correctly. Could hear people in neighboring room(s). Very poor lighting, almost impossible to read in the evening, Room was crowded. It had 2 king beds, one would have been more appropriate. Certainly not a luxury hotel.

Rockport Dream

The location of The Cove is within minutes of walking into Rockport and all the shops. That is the truth!! Beach is right in front of The Cove. Room 7, King Suite has an awesome view. We were really happy when we entered the room, it was perfect! So, this was our first time using codes to enter the property - Club House and the stairs to our room, including the room. Not having someone at a desk checking us in, well, we were a little unsure of the property and ourselves. However, it did not take long to catch on and I liked this - contactless check-in. However, I must admit we found a staff member and asked a few questions, lol.

Nothing. We loved the location, the room, the new experience. I image the summer is crazy, but to go off season and have the quiet and best location/view we could image, made this place, The Cove, just so perfect!

Fresh, convenient, great location by beach & easy stroll to town

Very tastefully & thoughtfully furnished in both rooms and common areas. Great location. Loved rocker Adirondack’s on porch overlooking beach. Efficiently run & good communications via text.

If you want to enjoy Rockport without having to drive and park, this is a perfect option

Perfect location. Even with self checkin peo, that we called were pleasant and helpful.

Bathroom sink is really small needs a shelf. Other than that, it was nice

Beautiful and absolutely perfect for our needs.

The place itself was gorgeous. We could hear the waves crashing in while lying in bed, was lovely. The facilities within the accommodation was great and fitted our needs to a tee.

Can't say we didn't like anything. I suppose an earlier check in and later check out but we could of requested those but didn't so nope no complaints at all.

Very cute Inn, great location - they need to have a staff person there in our opinion

The B&B was as pictured, very cute. The room was clean but the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. There was no staff on site at all, weird. Everything was by code. Our numbers on our code were transposed and we had no idea which room we were in. Luckily we saw the cleaning lady leaving and she provided some help. We saw many other couples trying to check in and they were having the same problem. At least have someone there at check in time or make directions clearer or have a phone number to call!
