Either they don't like their job or their guests.

The staff was very rude. Either they don't like their job or their guests. Well, after some stupid comments we received our room cards. Unfortunately, the room was directly opposite the loud ice machine, so we subsequently asked to change rooms. The staff didn't believe us that we hadn't entered or used the room. Only a few minutes had passed. Despite the annoyance of the staff, we managed to change rooms. The newly assigned room was directly behind an elevator, so it wasn't ideal, but we made do. Unfortunately, the toilet didn't flush as usual in this room. But we didn't feel like having to deal with the staff again, so we settled for it and just mentioned it when we left the next day. This hotel was the most expensive in Holbrook, but certainly not the best choice. Next time we'll look for a different hotel, for example B W or something similar.

Good hotel

Very clean hotel, nicely furnished. At breakfast we were greeted by staff with a smile.

The bed was too soft for us, but that is a personal preference. It would be better for the environment to have washable cutlery and crockery.

Breakfast service needs improved.

Great location for visiting the Petrified Forest National Park. Beds very comfortable and great shower.

The breakfast brings down my rating for this property. Food and eating utensils could've been replaced much more quickly. The hot food wasn't very hot.

The lady at the front desk was so amazing. Very helpful and friendly. We would stay again for sure.

It was very clean. We were not planning on staying in Holbrook but were forced because of the snow storm.

The breakfast was not very good. The eggs were terrible.

Shiny new hotel, good service, clean convenient to highway.

Great waffles, coffee to go.

Could hear noise of others, snoring and their alarm clock. Only fruit at breakfast was an old apple. How about a banana?

Gateway to Petrified Forest National Park

Nice, new hotel very convenient to I40 and Petrified Forest National Park.

The only small complaint was the very small size of their coffee cups. They should be bigger.

Comfortable place to stay in Holbrook

After looking at the options in the Booking app, we drove down route 66 to look at a couple of hotels. The La Quinta stood out as a newer place and it was a little more set back from the interstate than the other hotels. We asked for a top level room on the back of the hotel and that was nice. The sunset was very pretty. The bed must have had a memory foam topper and it was very comfortable.

It was a little expensive, but we were in the mood for a newer hotel.

We were delighted with our quality stay. We’ll definitely consider other La Quintas by Wyndham!

From our great experience checking in after 8:00 PM, to the modern comfort of the room, to the excellent shower/counter/bathroom space, to breakfast offerings…it was delightful!

The shower pan needs recaulking. But that’s really it!

Best Hotel in Holbrook!

This is clearly the best (and maybe only actual) hotel in Holbrook. Recently built in the east end of town just right off I-40. It's not very large, but it's a real actual modern Hotel. The rooms are what you would expect - very clean, modern, plenty of power plugs (including wireless!). Not too far from some good food if you're adventurous. Parking lot was safe and seemed secure. I would most definitely stay here again. Just a note - this place was sold out by 2pm the same day. So if you don't use a wonderful service like this to book it in advance - you are going to be out of luck if you drift into town and expect a room. We had the room right behind the elevators and it was not a problem at all with noise. In general the rooms seemed very quiet for the hotel being sold out. Even though it's clear that Holbrook has seen better times, there are some good places to eat at. They definitely are 'hole in the wall' looking - but for sure beats the fast food (of which there is plenty) options if you've been on the road and want a real meal.

Being a modern hotel, there's a focus on 'reducing carbon footprint'. It's all great there is an attempt - however, the rooms feel a bit like caves due to lack of lighting. And the lighting they do use is bright white LEDs. These have a lot of blue light and thus will actually make it more difficult to fall asleep. The rooms could use more lighting with some soft LEDs - get rid of the blue light. They use actual bar soap (which seemed odd considering the attempt to reduce carbon footprint/waste) instead of the refillable body wash/shampoo/condition that most other hotels have these days. Also the bathroom doors are at an angle to make room for the fridge/coffee machine. At first this seemed a bit odd, but ok. However, not expecting the door to be at that angle - I learned the hard way that the door is in fact very hard and can easily smash your fingers if you're not careful. Use the handle to pull it closed, don't pull on the door itself or you'll wind up doing what I did... As I mentioned above - Holbrook itself has seen better times - not much the hotel can do about that. Just be prepared for that. This is a great hotel to stop at overnight on a roadtrip or before/after seeing the Petrified Forest.

Very nice lodge for being in the middle of nowhere.

Location is right on the main drag. Nice spaciuos room. Bathroom best I've seen in cleanliness and convenience.

Need to get rid of that big ugly sign in front of property.

It was a newer property which was nice I guess.

It has a weird smell, the rooms weren’t fully clean (hairs in bathroom, weird stain on mattress), and no late checkout policy.

This is a very well managed, clean sparkling facility. We were very happy with our room. We were especially pleased to discover a very nice dog park on premises

Disappointing

Faucet not attached securely. Toilet too low. Confusing thermostat. I arrived early, before check in time, asked if any rooms were ready. Front desk agent said no without checking. I asked about a rest room and the agent said there isn't one, which is untrue. Decor of hotel is cold and depressing. Will avoid La Quinta and Wyndam in the future.
