The unit was clean and comfortable. The beds were particularly comfortable, the bathrooms were well maintained and the kitchen had everything necessary to be able to cook and enjoy your stay. The complex could use a good refresh but was well kept. The balcony was small, but the view of the beach and ocean was fantastic. Management was responsive when we had questions.
Check in was a little laborious after a day of travel - park outside the complex, get a key out of a lock box, walk around the complex and go up to the apartment, get a second set of keys from the apartment, go back down to your car and then get into the garage and go back up to the apartment. Then of course do the reverse on the way out.
The neighborhood felt sketchy and there were some folks visibly shooting up in the little park just south of the complex.
Unfortunately the water at Imperial Beach almost always has bacteria levels that are too high to safely enjoy the beach. We didn't realize this until about 2 weeks before our stay, which wasn't within the cancellation timeframe. The listing is not forthcoming on this, so if official beach bacteria warnings and/or closures will dampen your enthusiasm, please be warned. Our research showed that the beach was only at acceptable bacteria levels for a month or two in the last couple of years. There were people in the water and on the beach, but we weren't interested in getting sick or subjecting our 3 year old to sewage.

Last time we visiting Coronado, we stayed at one f the local hotels. While the hotel was very nice, the accommodations were small for 4-5 adults. This trip we were adding a couple more days and decided to research the rental route. We were VERY pleased with what we found in Imperial Beach. We felt safe and the condo was in both clean order and quaint. I would definitely recommend considering this condo/listing agent for your stay in SOCA.

Property was wonderful as advertised, location was great. We had my 81 y.o. mother in law with us with limited mobility who uses a wheelchair often and she had no problem getting to beach, enjoying the property and had easy access to street to enjoy the town. Only issue is dishwasher very old and ineffective. We would definately stay here again

Everything was as depicted in the pictures. Went a little crazy with the key situation. Had to have a key for elevator, to go out to the beach, to get into the complex. I appreciate the security. The exterior of the entire complex is aging and needs fixing. Guard rails up to hot tub and going down to the beach were loose. (Hanging on by a thread). Ocean water was contaminated for two days due to broken sewer pipe in Mexico. N

We had some last minute issues with our hotel we had planned on staying at, but were able to stay at this lovely beachfront condo. My entire family had a great time here and the location was excellent. Small shops nearby and plenty of options for food and coffee. Would definitely recommend.

The location was wonderful as well, with local shops within walking distance and bigger attractions such as Sea World only a half hour away. The only negative things were that we ended up needing to buy more toiletries ( toilet paper, and paper towels) and the bedding was washed with too much fabric softener causing it to be too strong for our sensitive skin. We would definitely return to this rental and recommend it to all.

Place was actually bigger than the pics looked, very clean, plenty of kitchen supplies, and definitely could not beat the view of the ocean, it was the best! We would definitely come back to this one.

This is a great location with a wonderful view. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of everything in the condo. It was just my husband and I, but everything was very comfortable for us. This place was perfect for our family of four. There is plenty of space to spread out and the view is the absolute best! It's in the perfect spot. You are located on the beach, steps to the adjacent park, bars/restaurants, and pier.

Fantastic morning view of Dolphins and evening sunsets
Amazing stay at this condo! Great location and view. My only complaint is the beach chairs, etc. are very uncomfortable for people hoping for a lot of beach time. The patio provided one appropriate and comfortable chair....the other chairs were cheap and uncomfortable for long stays outside. For a condo listed at the price this one is, they should highly consider these upgrades. I recommend to future visitors to bring HE laundry detergent for a front load washers- I planned a head and brought pods for laundry and was frustrated to have to go to the store to purchase the type of soap the property required. In adequate kitchen supplies for cooking meals, which we did regularly. It would be nice to also bring extra trash bag, blankets and toilet paper as these items were in limited supply.
We purchased a fan for those who need white noise/air flow and left it on site for future guests. It would be nice to have a fan available for each bedroom in rentals for those who need. When I had a question about check out, the management was responsive and friendly. Despite these suggestions, the stay was wonderful and I would do it again. In fact, I'm checking my calendar now! :-)

Fantastic setting, missing the finer touches
Our second stay in Imperial beach, first time in this unit. We enjoyed our stay, but would advise travelers about the following:
No beach toys
Bunks are unsafe (top bunk)
Queen mattress guest bed is very uncomfortable
The kitchen is very sparsely equipped
The condo comes with NO comfort items. No dish soap, laundry soap, no sponge.
The “user manual” for the unit is very redundant and needs revising and updating.
The pool and hot tub are very excessively chlorinated. If you have sensitivity to chemicals or respiratory issues don’t go in.
I would recommend this complex, if not this unit.

Beautiful view and peaceful setting
If you want to be right on the beach, this condo fits the bill. Early morning and evening walks were wonderful. There were 2 couples staying in the unit and we found the living room/dining/kitchen to be roomy for the four of us. The master bedroom bed is very comfortable and we loved the pillows. The 2nd room's bed is smaller and there are additional bunk beds in that room so I think our guests felt a little cramped, just something to keep in mind if you are traveling with a group. There are some fun places to eat if you don't feel like going to the city, and there is a store close by if you want to stay in and cook.

Wonderful beach views
Our stay at our condo was lovely. It had most everything that we needed. It had the most beautiful beach and ocean view especially at sunset. Everything was very comfortable and clean.

The condo was very nicely decorated and homey but the cushions on living room chair and accent pillows are in need of replacing. They are very old, worn, and unappealing. The leather couch and chair were comfortable however. Fyi...the kitchen has a Keurig single cup coffee maker but no k-cups, sugar or creamer are stocked. The only spices are salt and pepper and no soap or shampoos in shower. Owner was very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Right on the Ocean
This was our first stay in San Diego and our main requirement is that the rental be right on the water. And this certainly fits that bill. It is absolutely beautiful to watch the sun set right on your third floor balcony.
Overall it was a clean place. It was nice to have the pool and hot tub as well. I didn't really care for all the signs posted everywhere as it made me feel like a child and was excessive. Nice place for the price. Just beware - as nice as the place is - it is a little dated and with that comes the "small" things all over that need fixing. The blinds needed replacing, windows were not allowed to be opened, master bathroom door wouldn't close, no dishwasher tabs or laundry pods, hot tub was not cleaned, garage gate inoperable, elevator very slow.
Overall for the price - it was a very nice place to stay.

Gorgeous Views
Really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very roomy and the view of the ocean was awesome! Saw dolphins and even a sea lion passing by. – There is a parking garage with 2 parking spots, but you'll need to go up to the room first to get the remote to open the garage door. We didn't know this ahead of time, so it was a little frustrating when we got there. Luckily, we were able to get a hold of the management company right away to get those details. – We would definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends.

Spacious,clean,well appointed, secure and during our stay, very quiet.
Walking or short driving distance to a variety of dining choices.
Walk to the pier and on Friday & Saturday a variety of of food vendors at the pier.
