About this house rental
Located in Lake Cushman, this lovely house for $388 per night is a great option for your next break. This beautiful home has 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms vaulted ceilings on the main level huge bright windows throughout the whole house - lower level has a huge family room and a bedroom #3 with ensuite bath which has it's very own private bathroom. Also, twin bed off downstairs living room. Main level Master bedroom has King size bed, 2nd bedroom has queen size bed with twin day bed with twin trundle bed underneath. Summer time there are 4 adult size kayaks, 1 teen/child kayak & 1 paddle board plus life vests in all sizes. Be sure to let us know if you’re interested in more during off season we only leave 2 kayaks outside. Lake Cushman is mainly a private lake for home owners and their guest. The only public access is at the state park. If you want to avoid the traffic from busy. public lakes this is the place. One of Washington's top 10 lakes year after year. The 10 mile long lake has plenty of room for you to enjoy. You're nestled just minutes from the Olympic National Forest Entrance. And only a 5 minute walk into our divisions own private park and boat launch right on the lake which has a huge gazebo with fire pits, large dock for boats/sea-doos, swimming area, great for kayaking or just relaxing on the beach soaking in the surrounding mountain views. This area is absolutely stunning if you like outdoor activities there is no better place! Too many places to list on fun local activities: Staircase, Mt Ellinor, Vance Creek Bridge, Steel Creek Bridge, several waterfalls in the area, Lake Cushman dams, golfing, fishing, kayaking, boating. You name it and you can do it here! The Lake Cushman area will not disappoint and this home is stunning! Family fun as well!! Enjoy board games, karaoke, fire pit in the back yard, hiking and so much more

This is a beautiful home very close to a variety of activities. Plenty of space for a family to spread out, or get comfortable together. Easy check-in and great communication. Nice that we had access to TV, Netflix etc. Perhaps because we went off-season but a few things fell a bit short for me. First there was no propane for the grill and the grill looked like it hadn't been used for a while (needs cleaning). The host did offer to reimburse us if we went to get the tank refilled. The outdoor firepit was awesome, but had a dozen or so cigarette butts in it - not very appetizing to toast s'mores. Check-out was more stressful for me than usual because we learned after booking that the expectation is that you not only start the towel load wash, but you need to wait until it completes and start the dryer. I have no problem starting a load of wash, but having to wait for it to complete (and not knowing how long that would be) was no fun. Again the home is beautiful but for what we paid I was a bit disappointed with these shortfalls. Good news is should be easy to fix.

House is incredible, as pictured. Location is awesome - we took a short walk to the lake, which was beautiful. House is situated so it feels like you're well in the forest but Hoodsport is just a short drive away. Very quiet here! Danielle was super easy to communicate with and responded very promptly, and she was exceptionally gracious when we had car trouble trying to leave. Could not ask for a better host! Would definitely rent again!

We enjoyed our stay. We had small children in our group so we bought an adjustable baby gate for the top of the stairs which we left there in case you are in the same situation. Lovely, quiet neighborhood. Small store close by, but went to Shelton for most of our groceries--about a 25 minute drive. Lake Cushman just gorgeous!

The home was very lovely with every amenity you could want. The beach and swimming area is an easy walk away. As a permit is needed for that area, that part of the lake wasn’t too crowded, even during an August weekend. The communication with the owner was absolutely fantastic. 4 nights went by in a blink, it felt like we had just arrived when we were leaving! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Home is spacious and clean and newly updated with excellent, well stocked, kitchen. Loved the separate areas complete with bathrooms for family to spread out.
Our hostess was an excellent communicator and truly cares about guest needs.

Beautiful property surrounded by trees with amazing window views and short walk to the lake with spectacular scenery. We saw deer everyday right outside the house and it was only a short drive into the National park for great hikes. Danielle was attentive and her home was perfect for our family.

This lovely home was a very comfortable retreat for a family gathering of five adults and two small children. The lake was a short walk and was simply breathtaking. The common area at the lake includes a lovely playground, barbecue area and plenty of beach. The home was very warm and inviting as well as spotlessly cleaned. The best were comfortable, kitchen well appointed, and a really relaxing outdoor space with fire pit. Definitely well taken care of home and the hosts were great to work with. We hiked some lovely spots nearby including beautiful staircase. Great location for many gorgeous hiking destinations.

We had a great time visiting with our four kids and my aunt and uncle. The lake and nearby beach are absolutely stunning! Great little playground, picnic tables, floating dock - just gorgeous! It was great to have the kayaks and wheels to shuttle them back and forth - my kids loved them! The house was well appointed with plenty of towels and kitchen tools for the most part. The house though wasn’t great for a one year old. There is no baby gate to block the stairs. The host suggested using the dining bench to block but with a walking baby, he would have easily flipped over the bench and fallen. There is also one section of the stair railing spindles that did not seem like they could be to code. The spindles were very far apart and my baby could easily fit through. I had to come up with creative ways to block both which wasn’t ideal. We were also staying with my aunt and uncle who stayed in the bedroom downstairs and unfortunately they weren’t comfortable. The room acted as kind of an echo chamber for everything happening up in the kitchen / living room which meant they were up with the baby everyday. I’d make sure to put light sleepers / anyone who doesn’t want to awake with the first risers in an upstairs room. We were 8 people including 4 little kids and were charged an extra guest fee which drives me crazy. The property is listed as sleeping 8 and we didn’t even use all the beds. All in all it was a great trip and the area is beautiful!

Overall the place was nice. Finding out there would be a list of chores after check-in put a cloud over the stay. I understand the no shoes but then to go out on the patio from the kitchen requires you to go down the stairs to get your shoes. A curtain on the smaller window in the main bedroom that faces the living room would be helpful because the light glares in from the living and kitchen areas. WiFi was spotty, but the homeowner was very helpful. The lake access and kayaks were a highlight as was the fire pit in the evening. The kitchen had a nice supply of essentials.

Just a lovely home for the entire group. The listing had not been updated to show only 2 kayak's at the home. We probably would have chosen differently had we known, (Double check with owners before you book) An animal of some sort got into the garbage cans that hadn't been put out so the mess was a lot to clean up. Overall a beautiful area & home.

This area is great to visit anytime of year. The house is beautiful and a short walk to Lake Cushman. I went with my partner and 6 kids/teens and 2 dogs. Everyone had a great time.
If you like Oysters, I highly recommend the Oyster Saloon in Hama Hama. Great for dogs and kids.
Also, lots of hiking close by. Cushman Rock is a cool place to visit (beware the bumpy road and potholes if you have a low car).
Overall, this is a great stay and the host was fantastic and quick to respond to any questions.

We had a great time staying at this cabin for Christmas 2022. The house is beautiful and it was cozy and warm when we arrived in the middle of an ice and snow storm. Beds are very comfy and there is plenty of room to spread out or come together for meals and games. We were visited by a lovely family of deer each day. The master bedroom is a welcome sanctuary while hosting family and friends. The kitchen is very well stocked and I was able to make meals easily for our stay. Due to the inclement weather we didnt get to explore the lake or parks. But the house is surrounded by beautiful trees so we still felt surrounded by nature. We will definitely stay again.

Where to start - so many amazing things about this property. We have an annual family trip. Consensus from all, ages 4 to 54, was this was our favorite spot and we needed more time. Definitely on the come back list!
The house is so amazingly laid out. It was perfect for our 3 separate families. It is so well stocked, from bath and beach towels to a fully equipped kitchen (best we have ever stayed in). Karaoke machine was a blast! Lots of games played. Wonderful fire pit that we used nightly. Even though you can see the neighbors you really feel like you are alone in the beautiful woods.
Lake is 5 minute walk away - best swimming spot on the lake according to the local residents we spoke with. We brought a couple kayaks and used the 2 at the house. We were on the lake every day swimming and kayaking. We did manage to break away one day for an amazing hike.
Danielle was very responsive to all my questions prior to arrival so that our trip was well planned and relaxing. Thank you so much Danielle for your help and sharing your amazing home with us!

Great home for families
Loved this house for our family of six. Playground was close, as was the lake. Kayaks were such a fun addition and it was AMAZING that there were enough lifejacket sizes to fit all our kids!

Solitude in the forest by the lake
This was our annual family vacation and a new destination for us. The house was great for all ages from kids to grandparents with an easy walk to the lake. Both of my kids caught a fish!!! Looking forward to returning in the future!

My sister and I loved taking the kayaks out onto the lake, and the whole family enjoyed going on hikes and roasting marshmallows over the fire in the firepit area.
I was a tad dissatisfied with the karaoke machine, as it didn't come preloaded with any music and wasn't very responsive. It didn't really matter though, because we didn't go there to sing karaoke. There were plenty of other activities to fill our time.
This is about as close to camping as I want to get. I can still enjoy the great outdoors and relax by the fire, but it's nice to know a hot shower and a comfortable bed is just a few steps away. I highly recommend this place.

The weather was very snowy which made for a beautiful yet slightly sketchy trek from the highway to the house. The home itself is roomy for lots of people to gather and also have their own space. The bed in the owners bedroom is comfy but the other two queen beds are quite hard. The kitchen has just about anything you’d want to cook and bake. There are loads of games to keep us occupied as well as a pretty sweet karaoke machine.

Created lasting memories
This Home was he PERFECT place for a weekend trip with the family. All the bedrooms are spread out and have privacy. There is an extra den down stairs with an extra bed, couches and games.
We arrived on a Friday evening to a beautifully light and decorated Christmas tree that welcomed us. We could hardly wait to get inside once seeing it from the driveway.
The owner was very responsive and wonderful to work with. The home has a very open concept and a comfy sectional couch that our family enjoyed while watch movies and singing karaoke.
We weren't able to explore that lake as there was too much snow to navigate through. We look forward to visiting again and utilizing the backyard for grilling and enjoying the lights and firepit.

A wonderful property in a beautiful location
We had a great time here. Even though we expected rain and got it, exploring the surrounding forest, lakes, and trails was still a lovely experience. The home itself was also great with a living space really conducive for spending time with friends and family.

Amazing house!
The house was in such a great little neighborhood just a minutes walk from a private beach on the lake. It was clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need for cooking, cleaning, or a day at the lake. Would recommend.
