It is in an old palazzo-style house with a courtyard and garden, and has lots of character, with interesting furnishings. (Note: It looks like a door in a wall from the street and the signs outside says it houses 2 banks which made us wonder for a while, but all was good!). We stayed for two nights to visit the opera, with our two teenage children. We were very comfortable and loved the place. Kitchen very well equipped (but didn’t use it), and nice bathroom with ‘rain’ shower.
The check-in was right on time, and the host was very helpful with recommendations and sorting the admin. The location is excellent for Piazza Bra, the Arena, and exploring the old town and outskirts – it was a 4 minute walk to the Arena, and about 8 to 10 to Castelvecchio, with cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby. About 15 minutes from Piazza San Zeno with more local eateries.
Would definitely use again if visiting Verona.
No dislikes at all:
There was a broken wardrobe door laid on a chest in the hallway that had clearly been moved to be removed from the apartment and been forgotten, which I simply stood up against the wall out the way.
Observations (definitely not complaints as we knew both when we rented – but for info):
• A second toilet would be great, but we knew it only had one (difficult to fit in another!)
• Checkout at 11.00 not 10.00 would be nice but not essential

The location of the apartment is fantastic - literally a few steps from the old gate to the historic centre and then to the amphitheater and other sights. The apartment is comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and there was good sitting space in addition to the bedrooms. The garden is stunning.
The third bedroom has two single beds which weren’t particularly comfortable and made the room very crowded. There is only one bathroom which made for difficult times - we were 6 adults.
