We stayed here in mid-August and found it the perfect place to unwind after the busy atmosphere of Bangkok. Directly by the river and surrounded by nature, it offers a peaceful setting to relax and clear your mind.
The owner was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. Requests regarding breakfast, snacks, or dinner could easily be sent via WhatsApp and were fulfilled promptly. The staff and drivers were also exceptionally kind. A shuttle service is available, with a flat rate of 200 baht for nearby destinations.
We took a trip to Erawan National Park, about one hour away. Our driver waited for more than four hours while we explored, and the complete trip cost 1,600 baht. Kanchanaburi is around one hour away, while Bangkok is approximately three hours away.
Breakfast includes an American option with eggs or one of three Thai dishes. We also recommend the barbecue, as the meat is grilled directly on the terrace. The beds were extremely comfortable, the rooms very clean, and the Wi-Fi strong.
We would happily return, either to relax with our teenage sons or to float downstream wearing life jackets, accompanied by a raft and a longtail boat. A wonderful experience and highly recommended!
Far away from Kanchanaburi.
Getting warm food in the room is difficult due to the distance between cook/kitchen and room.
American breakfast (eggs, bacon, Toast, sausages), complemented with lovely fruits! is the only non-thai breakfast choice. Considering the small number of rooms, this is fully understandable.
Shower Not very strong, but ok.

Prachtige locatie, kraaknette kamers, heel vriendelijk onthaal.
De locatie is een beetje afgelegen. Dat maakt het mooi qua ligging, maar je bent helemaal aangewezen op het guesthouse.
Let op: de taxi bracht ons verkeerdelijk naar het The River Life Resort.
We hadden ook verwacht dat we een kamer hadden geboekt op het drijvend gedeelte op het water. Bij aankomst bleek dat niet zo te zijn. We mochten daags nadien voor een surplus wel verhuizen.

American breakfast was OK but not great as they get made elsewhere and bring down to room, so a little bit cold. Rooms were great and comfortable with great facilities. Water pressure in shower a bit low but OK,
Lots of stairs to go up and down each time, nobody to help with bags to take to room but is OK, really needed our own car to get around more easily as this place is no where near facilities you can walk to.
