Was a great stay and would consider staying again!

Easy access. Clean. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean.

NOT Hyde Park, not that safe, but cheap and clean

The owner lived on-site and said he had a traveling nurse staying there as well, which is the only reason I felt safe enough to stay. The house was very clean and orderly inside, and the bed and towels were comfortable. The price was great.

My Lyft driver didn't want to leave me there with my luggage at 3 pm on a Tuesday. This is NOT Hyde Park, as advertised. It's smack in the middle of Kenwood -- but low-income neighborhoods don't market well. The "townhouse" was a box in a ramshackle row of units with cheap white siding and weeds everywhere. I had planned to drop my stuff, get a little work done, and head to Wrigley for a game with friends. But, after listening to the chaos of the neighborhood (including the strange explosion next door), I realized I didn't feel safe leaving my valuables or returning there alone later that night. (I should have packed and left.) The house itself is clearly designed for long-term boarders, not someone looking for a friendly place to lay their head for a night. Indeed, I felt like I had invaded the owner's immaculate space. There are "DO NOT do this..." signs everywhere, but it's the cameras in the common spaces and the bright motion-sensor lights that really made me feel policed. Those lights led to a pretty unnerving moment while I was showering. There are instructions on the glass shower door to "turn on the fan and its light" before showering. Not long into my shower, the primary bath light suddenly switched off. Had I not followed Big Brother's sign, I would have been showering in blackness. To a woman traveling alone, that is NOT hospitality -- that's a terrifying idea.

Diana and her husband are extremely kind. I was happy to be hosted by them.

All went very well no complaint.

La habitación era amplia y era muy cómoda. Él dueño era muy amable. El sitio estaba bien comunicado aunque es muy oscuro en las noche por la abundancia de árboles y las pocas farolas que hay pero bueno, si te ubicas bien y te manejas por ciudades tampoco es para tanto.

Mi única queja, que tampoco es una queja, sino una recomendación, es que se corrija la hora de salida porque la hora de salida no es hasta las 12 sino hasta las 11 y esto a mi me genero un cambio de planes importante pero bueno. Que, en general, fue buena la estancia.
