About this house rental
Fantastic cottage on Lake Michigan. The high bluff allows for a priceless view of Lake Michigan through an unforgettable picture window. Our cottage has 150 feet of private frontage along Lake Michigan, and stairs down to Lake Michigan. A a brand new 8 person HOT TUB was delivered in February 2026. The hot tub is perched on the back patio about 30 feet from the edge of the Lake Michigan Bluff.
Sun-room offers great views and has comfy seating
Main floor also offers living room with commanding Lake Michigan view. Big screen TV in cozy living room along with gas fireplace. Large, well equipped kitchen with plenty of counter space. All new appliances in 24-25. Full bath on main floor. Main floor master bedroom with king bed. Upper level with two additional bedrooms and full bath. One upper bedroom has a king bed and the other upper bedroom has a queen bed. Basement level has fourth bedroom with full size bed and additional 1/2 bath in the basement. Basement also has a bunk room a twin over twin bed.
Cottage sleeps up to 11 in 4 separate bedrooms and the additional basement bunk room. Township limit is 10 guests. Cottage with is laid out as follows:

Basement queen size bed
Basement bunk room: twin bunk bed w a trundle.

HOT TUB WAS HOT! VERY GOOD. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Manistee is a hoot and a half. Parking can only fit four cars in driveway and there's no street parking.

The view was spectacular from inside and out!We decided to forgo sitting in the hot tub, the water was cloudy with a film and just didn't look right. One of our granddaughters toy rolled under the couch, the amount of sand/dirt was impressive. Along with dust bunnies and a sock under the downstairs bed. Not to mention a very fat, slow moving mouse in the downstairs bath. The internet did not work at all, even tried rebooting, and there is very little to no cell service in that area. Be sure to type in the address and not follow the hyperlinks, otherwise you'll end up in town. The kitchen was well stocked, we had everything we needed to cook, grill and bake. Overall, the surface area was clean, a good deep clean is in store though. Manistee is a fun town, the beach/ park was clean and not crowded. The town itself is clean and very hospitable.
