The Shore at Ocean Palms Retreat is a beautifully renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bath, second floor apartment located mid-island with canal views and tranquil neighborhood. Two blocks to the beach mid-way between two beach access points. Canal views from the windows and balconies. Manatee, dolphin, and palm trees galore from your kitchen, dining, living room and balcony of your unit. Fully equipped kitchens with a Keurig Coffee Machine, additional seating for guests, Dishwasher, Rain Shower heads and spa shower panels where equipped. Hotel style five star linens and towels complement our comfortable surrounds so you can unwind and relax in style. High speed internet, WiFi, Alexa, streaming music and lookup features, 4k streaming smart TV, coded door locks and smart thermostat capabilities, Remote fan and light controls, Recessed lighting with dimmer controls add to the mood setting enjoyment of your stay. Fort Myers, Bonita Springs and Naples are all modern cities with plenty of shopping, dining and sightseeing to experience. The South West International Airport in Fort Myers is close by for convenience as well. While the beach is as inviting as ever, please note that the Fort Myers Beach area is rebounding from Hurricane Ian and not all amenities are available yet. Construction and rebuilding is present on the island and moving fast. The current status of restaurants and other amenities on the island is in a state of change and island amenities may not be available or operating. Pet friendly restrictions and fees apply. Dogs are permitted up to 25 lbs and non-aggressive breeds only with pet fee paid in advance. Pets restricted to dogs only, no other pets allowed and penalties enforced. Excess cleaning charges may apply. Dogs must be leashed when outdoors, must be cleaned up after and can't be walked on anyone else's property. Parking is limited to two vehicles per unit and only park in front of the building. This place was very clean and perfect for a beach vacation for the four of us. Plenty of room, comfortable beds and a nice deck overlooking the canal. The area was peaceful, quiet and you could walk to the beach. We enjoyed it.

Thankful for the accommodations but there were some things that need attention. The windows are all trailer windows, low quality. The curtains were not large enough to cover the windows. There were bugs. The drain cover in our shower was never screwed into place.

We stayed here for a few days in July, and we were happy with it. it was really nice inside with a lot of updates. It's in Ft. Myers Beach and wasn't far from the actual beach. We would stay here again.

Just spent 6 nights at this hidden gem it’s an upper duplex with a lovely balcony with comfy out door seating ..
Tastefully decorated with very comfortable beds and equipped with everything you need for a home away from home.

Wonderful Experience
My wife and stepdaughter enjoyed our week stay at this location mainly due to great accommodations as listed in profile and easy access to beach a short two blocks away. Have already recommended rental to other family and friends!!

Family vacation
This property fit our needs perfectly! It had everything you’ll need to visit the beach! It was comfortable for our family of 4! We only turned on the tv once but Netflix was there ready to use. Laundry facilities were available to use! We would definitely stay again!

Easy to rent, check in, new and modern, with multiple places to hangout or take an easy walk to the beach. Was far away from the main shopping and restaurants which took some time and effort to reach those spots. The benefit was a very quiet vacation with not many people on the beach nor all the sounds from the jet skis, boats and bar music.

We had a great time. The kitchen was fully equiped to make dinners and breakfast. Short walk to the beach. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. The walk to publix was a short walk. Tvs were easy to use. Definitely would stay again.

This is a comfortable two bedroom apartment, larger than it may appear in the photos, in a great location, with tasteful furnishings. It's near the end of a dead-end street, so it is pretty quiet and has very little traffic. It has a view of a canal. When we were not at the fantastic, nearby, dog-friendly (leashed dogs) beach, I was reading a book on the lovely screened in-porch. The neighborhood was quiet, people were pretty friendly. The very short walk to the beach requires crossing a street that can be busy at times, but drivers were respectful of the crosswalk and stopped for pedestrians. The kitchen well-stocked. The apartment has a very elaborate shower with multiple shower heads/sprays. There was a new gas grille, (although we didn't use it, other neighbors did,) and a shared laundry room. The TV was a bit of a headache as you had to access your streaming service through YouTube. Luckily we had plenty of books to read. There is a farmers market nearby on Tuesday and Thursdays. The rental agency was very responsive when we had a question. We would definitely stay again.

Got to this rental unit only to find that someone else had already checked in to it. After talking with the people that had checked in there we found out that when they checked in they had called the rental company to let them know their key code didn’t work, and without verifying that the people were in the correct unit the rental company gave them our key code. The people in our rental argued with us, then called the management company to see what to do. The people got off the phone and let us know that the rental company said we could either wait for them to move out of our space to go to the spot next door (and we’d have to wait to have the place cleaned), or we could stay in the one they were supposed to be in, but we would have to move to their spot on Thursday for the remaining three days of our stay. Because we had traveled 18 hours by car and had a very grouchy and tired five year old, we agreed to stay in the property they were supposed to be in, so we could get to bed quickly. The properties were identical and absolutely beautiful - so we weren’t frustrated about the property itself. The next morning we decided we did not want to move on Thursday, in the middle of our stay, so we checked out and moved to a different rental not managed by that company. We asked the rental company for a refund and they told us the best they could do was refund us 1/3 of our rental price. They said it was because we verbally agreed to stay in the other space and move to a new space on Thursday. But that was a decision made because the people in our place had already yelled at us, and I just needed to get my kid to bed (it was 6:00 at night by this point). After telling the company that I would refute the charge with my credit card company they informed me that the rental agreement I had signed said they could put us in another rental unit if needed, and if I refuted the charge with my credit card company we could get absolutely no refund and they were prepared to take us to court. 😱 Not the best way to start a vacation! In the end, we agreed to the refund offered because it was better than nothing and we didn’t want to end up in a legal battle over something that was supposed to be a relaxing experience! While we understand that things come up with rental properties and occasionally people need to be in a different unit due to an emergency, that was not the case here. The company made the mistake of not verifying people were in the correct unit!

The bay/canal view off of the screened porch was spectacular offering amazing sunrises! This beautifully decorated, very clean venue was only a short 3 minute walk to the beach and public access. The beds were very high quality & super comfortable... as good as home :-)

This was our 1st visit to Fort Myers. The unit was clean and beautifully decorated as advertised. The location was close to all our needs: restarants, grocery store. Too many kitchen chairs given the number of occupants. All furniture is overly large. Too many decorative cushions on sofas and beds. They take up a lot of space.
Bed pillows were worn out and flat. Property manager was responsive in providing three new pillows.
The shower system is fancy and nice. Complicated to operate. Instructions would be helpful.

Wonderful place to stay!
Our family stayed here for a week this month and felt it was a great place. The kitchen is well equipped- large refrigerator, stove, oven, toaster, coffee pot and more. It was easy to cook meals here. The bedrooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. The place is very clean and decorated tastefully. Laundry room on bottom floor (separate area). It's only a couple blocks from the beach, which we went to every day. I would recommend this place and would stay here again.

From booking to arriving then checking out, the entire process was a breeze. We simply could not believe how easy the entire process went. Property management/owner, sent out very clear and helpful information regarding check in, check out and what to expect. We are extremely satisfied with this property and owner. Entire place felt like home and made us feel like we fit and belong there. Neighbors across the street are so nice and another neighbor several houses down met us while walking our dog. They were super sweet, they have a dog, they remembered all of our names and would meet them almost every evening while walking to the beach. Such a great place, great neighborhood, great people all around it. Walk to the beach from this property with 5 year old and 75 year old while pulling 2 carts full of beach gear, it took 6 minutes, wow. Owners really have a taste in decorating this place, they also have tough of everything (hand soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, plenty of towels, paper towels, coffee filters, coffee machine, Keurig machine, blender, toaster, all utensils, plates, cups, pots, pans you can think of). Laundry on lower level (owner provide fabric softener. Beds very super comfortable and canal view from the balcony while enjoying morning coffee was a plus. I literally could rave about this place for days. We are already talking about renting it again.
