Nestled in Bald Head Island, this attractive cottage for $445 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Welcome to "Not On Call", a charming 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage in Cape Fear Station. Sleeps 4-5. Located just 2 minutes by golf cart to the favored East Beach, and walking distance to the Turtle Conservancy, Mike's Bites, and the Commons Park. N Freshly updated in 2020. Remodeled kitchen with quartz countertops, marble backsplash, new stove, and dishware. All new hotel-style bed linens, duvets, bath and beach towels. New interior paint and decor, new rugs and leather chaise. Dining table and master vanity updated with quartz. We pride ourselves on keeping our home fresh, tidy, and clean. We do have a no pets and no smoking policy. The first floor has a bright entryway, a garage for the 4-seater golf cart (brand new in 2020), a bedroom with queen-sized bed, wall mounted television, and full bathroom with shower. The second floor contains the living room with a comfortable sofa, arm chair, and leather chaise, updated kitchen with new appliances, dining nook, and closet with full-sized washer/dryer. The third floor is a family suite with a new teak queen bed and side tables, a new twin over full bunk bed, large vanity, and a full bathroom with walk-in shower. Wall mounted television in first floor bedroom, as well as a large flat screen and Blu-Ray DVD player in the living room. Both televisions are smart TVs. There is a large movie library, as well as board games and puzzles. Beach chairs, and beach towels are provided. We have a few adult-sized bicycles that are kept outside and are available for your use. Guests have the option of purchasing a temporary guest membership to Bald Head Island Club, allowing guests to access pools, waterslides, golf, tennis, croquet, and multiple restaurants and coffee bar. The pools are heated through the end of October and re-open in April. The Sumners Crescent community has a shared deck with benches for relaxing. There is also a charcoal grill at the cottage. BHI also offers historical tours, kayak rentals, bicycle rentals, guided fishing trips, turtle conservancy, nature trails, shopping, crabbing, etc. So much to enjoy, whether visiting in the midst of summer or in the off-season. We are also the owners of “Fish N’ Chips”, a larger 4 BR home just a few doors down - perfect if you are looking for a second home for friends or family. PLEASE NOTE- Hurricane Policy: If the local Government orders a mandatory evacuation for Bald Head Island AND you don’t stay at our home, you will receive a full refund for the nights the evacuation order is in place. This does not pertain to voluntary evacuations, a situation where travel insurance is certainly beneficial. If our home becomes uninhabitable for any reason (fire, wind, flood), and we need to cancel, you will receive a full refund for unused days of your stay. Because of the current pandemic, and because unexpected situations can arise (health, work, date conflicts, etc), we recommend protecting your investment and vacation by purchasing travel insurance. No pet policy violation: We have opted to keep our home pet-free for a variety of reasons, and maintain a strict no-pet policy. Please note that under North Carolina Law, Emotional Support Animals are not exempt from the no-pet policy. Bringing an unauthorized pet to the cottage will incur a $500 fee and, per VrBO policy, your booking can be cancelled without refund.

Not On Call is such a perfect place for a family of 4-6 or even an extended family. House is in immaculate shape with everything you could need. We loved staying near South Beach and we could go everywhere we wanted to go on the golf cart or bikes. Our boys (8 and 10) felt very much at home in the house and we did too!

Absolutely loved my visit to Bald Head Island. The home is just as warm and inviting as it looks online. The section is close to the beach less than 5 minutes in the golf cart and close to the shoals club house.
Chrissie was fantastic through the whole process, prompt to answer any questions and truly deserves all these 5 star reviews! 10/10 will be back.

Clean and well organized home. We were pleased to find a stand alone home and not a duplex (can't tell from photo). Bikes in good working order. Beach chairs and towels provided. Beach access #39 was close by and had a wonderful beach. We went to another house for a party that was on the other side of the island and the bugs were awful there but no issues at this location. Be aware that the Island police were stopping golf carts that were leaving the wedding we attended at the Marina. We didn't get stopped but we saw when we left and heard the same from other wedding goers.

Lovely house. Very clean. Quite comfortable sitting areas. The third floor family suite has comfortable beds and is spacious. The kitchen is functional and well-equipped though small. Would not be great for a family in which multiple people wanted to cook. The first floor bedroom is a little less comfortable as it's a tight space. Just worth being aware that the family suite upstairs has all beds in one room, so if you don't want to sleep in the same room as your kids, they get the nicer space.

Not On Call was a great little house for our first time on Bald Head Island. There was more than enough room for a family of four, and all of the extras (beach chairs, bikes, games, etc.) meant that we didn't need to worry about bringing all of that with us. The only challenge was figuring out how to work the Nest thermostat so that the temp stayed comfortable. I look forward to visiting again!

Perfect Piece of Paradise
This was our first time to the island and staying at “Not on Call” absolutely did not disappoint. We found the location to be perfect as we were in walking distance to shops, Mike’s Bites, and the beach! Every place else we frequented was a short golf cart ride away. The house was impeccably clean, well stocked, and perfectly decorated. Chrissie was so helpful and responsive from the time of booking until we checked out. It’s not hard to see why BHI brings families back year after year. We are already planning our next trip!
