Located in Bald Head Island, this attractive house for $436 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Shell Cottage at Cape Fear Station invites you to Bald Head Island! BHI is a unique and peaceful island accessible by a 20 minute passenger ferry or private yacht. The island has golf carts and biking as the mode of transportation. Shell Cottage is within walking/biking distance to East Beach—one of the most favored beaches on the island—Turtle Conservancy, and Mike's Bites. Shoals Club is located conveniently close with a temporary membership available with a daily/weekly pass for an additional fee. The Maritime Market (grocery) is located 8 minutes by golf cart from the house with shopping and spa available. The Marina is located 12 minutes from the house with restaurants and many activities available. Long term rentals welcome. 1 month to 3 months available. Discounts applied. A charming 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage with a newly added bathroom and 2nd bedroom to make your family visit more comfortable. The house has a fully equipped galley kitchen, two flat screen TV's with cable, wifi/reliable internet, beach/bath towels, and bed linens. The house is equipped with a wealth of amenities including beach chairs, boogie boards, pop up tents, beach toys, youth sports equipment, movies, books, and games. The cottage has one 4 person golf cart provided for guest use. 4 adult bicycles and 2 kid bicycles are available for renter use (conditions vary due to beach climate). Complimentary starter supplies of cleaning products, paper towels and bath tissue. House is professionally cleaned between each guest. Early check in and late check out available depending on schedule. Please check with owner regarding availability of check in/out schedule. Sleeps up to 4 people. Rental insurance is required in lieu of a security deposit.

Great house and fantastic location! The only suggestions for improvement would be to provide more than one bath towel and pillow per person, and to clean out the lint trap on the dryer. It was so full that the clothes wouldn't dry until we discovered the issue and cleaned it out. Otherwise, we had a great time in this gorgeous little gem!

We very much enjoyed our stay @ Shell Cottage. This rental is very charming and just the right amount of space for our family of 4. We have been coming to BHI for over 20 years and have stayed in several rentals. We were very impressed with the smart use of space in this home! Check in and departure was very easy. The house was very clean and in the perfect location. We love being able to walk to East Beach or bike over to the Conservancy & Mike's Bites.

Loved this property and the location so close to East Beach. Truly the best side of the island! Perfect for a couple or family of 4. Well stocked beach toys and chairs. The weather was terrible but we still had a fantastic time riding around in the golf cart, playing cards and watching all the apps on the tv.

Shell Cottage was a perfect escape to ring in the New Year. The cottage was comfortable, well-appointed, and just the right amount of space for our family of 4. Great location and in the summer close to East Beach surfing, Mike’s Bites, the Conservancy, and the Shoals Club. Would definitely recommend for families with older children or two couples, and look forward to staying again.

We love Shell Cottage! We stayed for the week of Thanksgiving and had a wonderful, relaxing time. Dianne could not have been more attentive if she tried! We had some questions upon arrival and she was very prompt in replying and answering. We cooked a lovely Thanksgiving for 2 and didn’t want for a thing in the kitchen. The large master bedroom was amazing! Would definitely stay again in the future! Love the location - peaceful and quiet.

This cozy beach cottage is the perfect getaway for a small group of 3 or 4 people. The decor is lovely as is the setting. The cottage is well supplied. My husband and I highly recommend Shell Cottage.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary and could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. The home is very nicely decorated and extremely clean. The property was absolutely perfect! Check in process was so easy, and the location was incredible, just a few minutes away from both the shoals club and the market area. The house, along with everything in it felt super clean. Although we didn’t use much of it, we noticed surf boards, board games, and several other fun items to make vacation better! Also, the upstairs bed’s mattress was SO comfortable. If you’re considering it, just go ahead and book :)

My husband & I frequent Bald Head Island! This home was by far our favorite for many reasons! 1st the location!!!! We loved being so close to the beach & the park!!!! This home had absolutely everything you could ask for! We did not have to go to the store & buy anything as far as soap, toilet paper or paper towels! What a plus!!! We were so thankful for that! We loved the layout of the home as well & the comfy king size bed! We will most definitely return!

The house was absolutely beautiful, and immaculately clean when we arrived. The check-in process was very easy. Property manager was incredibly communicative and helpful with anything that we needed. Shell Cottage was exactly what we hoped for - quiet, warm, inviting, very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the amenities we could need (and more!) The location is also fantastic. We are already looking at dates for a return trip to BHI, and we are certain that we want to stay at Shell Cottage on our next visit.

We stayed 3 nights at the property while on BHI for a wedding. It was a perfect amount of space for two people. Everything was clean; communication with the host was good; very conveniently located for where we needed to be. Do be aware there are a good amount of stairs (bedroom is on the third level) so keep that in mind if anyone in your party has limited mobility.
