The host met us at the pier when we got off the water taxi, then escorted us to the apartment and showed us around. He was so nice and helpful with restaurant recommendations and helpful tips. The apartment was perfectly situated, close to everything, and it was very comfortable. The AC was great after a hot day of walking around. There are a lot of steep steps, but it helped work off all the pasta! If you have any physical issues, though, I think the stairs would be a problem. Beautiful views of the city’s rooftops and a very Italian feel to the entire place. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and quite just a short walk to St. Marks square.
Steps up could be challenging for some but we’re fit as fiddles.

The apartment has been renovated in a sensitive way keeping period features but ensuring guests have access to modern bathrooms. The property is very close to St Mark’s square although it is tucked away on a quiet back street. The property owners were more than helpful during our stay.
Some people go on about the stairs up to the property being steep , but this is to be expected from such a historic building and should now put you off.
