Fresh markets with local produce, dolphin watching, and kayak tours await you down the street. Sailors Rest provides an array of amenities to make your stay comfortable. Take a dip in our heated pool (available from March to early December) or enjoy a cold drink in our outdoor Biergarten, all while surrounded by the beauty of nature. Enjoy the outdoor fireplace, two grills, two comfortable queen-sized beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a washer/dryer, high-speed business internet, infrared sauna, Koi Pond, fresh-farm eggs daily from our chickens, pool towels, beach umbrella and chairs, and relaxing fountains throughout the property. As the only guests on the property, you'll have all the privacy and tranquility you need to unwind and recharge. The hosts are available on-premises and happy to help you with anything you need during your stay. ***Helpful Info for Families Below*** We are also a kid-friendly space with an outdoor baby/toddler swing, pool toys, a baby countertop bathtub, kid's books, and a Pack n-Play. Children will have a blast here feeding the chickens and koi fish and swimming in the pool!

I don’t even know where to start. Absolutely amazing place to stay. Ginny and Neil were some of the sweetest people I have met. I wish I’d had more time to talk with them. The property really is a magical place from secret gardens to all the lights at night. If you are looking for a place to stay near Charleston this is your place to go. Thank you for a great week.

Sailors rest is gorgeous, and the owners are very friendly and courteous. They offered fresh eggs and a full kitchen for those who like to cook, and for those who don't, there's plenty of restaurants nearby that don't disappoint.

We stayed at sailors rest for a long weekend. We were greeted by the sweetest sign, welcoming us. We fell in love with the place immediately. it is a natural habitat. We were in awe of the many artistic and unique outdoor venues in this setting. Jenny and Neil were amazing hosts and couldn’t have been more hospitable.

Our family had the most wonderful week long vacation at Sailor's Rest. We couldn't have ask for a more beautiful location to spend our vacation. Neil and Ginny were wonderful hosts. Our daughter absolutely loved feeding the fish, feeding the chickens and of course the pool was her favorite. They made several recommendations for places to visit and eat and they were all amazing! We would recommend this location to anyone looking for a great getaway in Charleston.

We loved everything about this place!! Ginny and Neil were great hosts.The pool, the gardens and the fire place were great. So much creativity in one place! It was close to beaches ( the park pass was great) and about 25 minutes to downtown charleston! We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful vacation
The property including house and grounds are beautiful and very accurately portrayed. We had a wonderful time for our family vacation with our 6 year old. She loved the pool, the chickens, the fish, the swings and so much more. Much love to the hosts for all that they share!

Girlfriend getaway
Had an amazing stay at Sailors Rest!! They have every single amenity you could ever think of, don’t worry if you forgot something they definitely have it. Neil and Ginny are such kind host, we enjoyed talking with them. The pool was clean and so was the apartment. Would definitely recommend this private property. You will not be disappointed!

Quiet paradise
My husband and I recently stayed celebrating our (belated) 10 year wedding anniversary and it was wonderful! The area is quiet but close enough to explore your surroundings. Ginny and Neil are great hosts!! The pictures online are great but would highly recommend seeing it in person. We enjoyed ourselves and plan on returning!!!

Amazing Stay!
The outdoor space at this property is a complete oasis! We loved all of it! There are so many activities to do on property from swimming in the saltwater pool, outdoor seating for meals, fireplace with s’mores, Biergarten, activities, swings, treehouse and more - Everything is thought of for your stay! The kids also got to feed the chickens and koi fish! The owners are so kind and thoughtful and brought us fresh eggs regularly as well.
The property is also centrally located in the island! Lots of local shopping, farmers makers, grocery stores, restaurants and beaches all within 10 minutes!
We truly cannot say enough good things and would easily stay here again! Thanks for an amazing time! ❤️

Beyond our expectations!
We couldn't have picked better hosts for our family vacation! Ginny, Neil & Sarah were incredible! The property is breathtaking! This is without a doubt the cleanest property we have ever stayed at. It’s obvious that the Haynes take pride in their Magical oasis! We enjoyed seeing the numerous plants/flowers, wildlife and the kids had a blast swimming all week! My family never stays in the same place twice, but I think we will be making an exception for this 5 star experience! The most special part of our trip was the genuine kindness that the Haynes shared with us for the entire week. They are special people who anyone would be lucky to meet.

This is a wonderful property with very nice hosts. The rental has everything anyone would need for a short or long stay, plus much more! The unit location is well off the street and is very quiet. We would stay here again when visiting the Charleston SC area.

Beautiful stay outside Charleston
Ginny and Neil were such great hosts! The property was beautiful and had thoughtful touches down to fresh eggs and coffee. The property is far enough out of Charleston that you feel real low country living but close enough you can pop into town and back. We would absolutely stay here again.

Plenty of room to spread out in this unique circular property with interesting antique accent pieces and objects d'art scattered throughout. Quiet and comfortable, well supplied and set in eclectic garden grounds. Not warm enough for us to enjoy the pool and other outdoor areas.

We arrived late to Sailor's Rest our first evening, and upon stepping out of the car, it felt as though we were entering a tropical oasis far away from it all. We entered our suite to the sound of spa music, a bottle of bubbly and a cake for two which read "Happy Minimoon", as well as fresh eggs from the owners' chickens, and two luxurious bath robes with lavender. These small touches made our stay so special! We loved the decor inspired by the owners' wordly travels. Additionally, it was only a short, easy drive to downtown Charleston and Folly beach. We also chatted a few times with the owners who live on the property, Neil and Ginny, who were just the sweetest people- they were very respectful of our privacy and only chatted with us because we wanted to. The location was just so peaceful, and we cannot wait to return!
