Un lugar muy agradable.

Está muy cerca de la laguna, el personal es muy amable y la relación precio calidad es buena.

Catastrophe

La déco originale des communs

- pas d’insonorisation du tout (comme si on etait dehors), on a quasi pas dormi en 2 jours ( bruits des voitures, des chiens, des gens,..) - les odeurs d’égout et de clope car pas d’isolation - piqué par les moustiques car pas de moustiquaires au dessus des lits et portes faites de bois avec des ouvertures - toilettes et sdb sales -pas de papier wc et de savon/ produit vaisselle Les travaux le matin:odeur de peinture et bruit de disqueuse Encore si on avait payé 10€ par nuit mais la 25€!! Cata!

Los espacios exteriores. Me prestaron toallas porque no llevaba

La habitación tenía olor de humedad.No tenía ventana. Casi siempre cuando llegaba me encontraba al que atendía jugando aún jueguito (que hacía mucho ruido y no podía descansar en la.habitación porque se escuchaba mucho.

Convenable si pas trop regardant

L'emplacement est super, à deux pas d'un ponton public pour la lagune et près de nombreux bars et restaurants. L'espace commun extérieur est chaleureux. Il y a des ventilateurs et des prises dans les chambres, c'est appréciable. L'eau est chaude dans la douche.

On sent les ressort dans les matelas. Il est indiqué dans l'annonce qu'un linge de maison est fourni, ce n'est pas le cas. L'accueil s'est passé? Extrêmement brièvement. Un garçon nous a donné les clés du cadenas qui ferme la porte de notre chambre, et c'est tout. Aussi c'est un concept, mais il n'y a pas de fenêtres. Deux ouvertures dans le mur couvertes par des moustiquaires. La vaisselle dans l'espace commun est très usée et nous ne l'avons pas utilisé car ceux qui s'en sont servi ne l'ont pas très bien lavée... Et je suis sceptique quant au trou en haut des douches pour femmes, qui est en vis à vis parfait avec une fenêtre du premier étage.

Schönes aber simples Hostel

Schönes, einfaches Hostel sehr nah an der Lagune, wo es auch einen öffentlichen (gratis) Steg gibt.

Die Küche ist eher spärlich ausgerüstet und Kleinikeiten wie Seife, um die Hände nach dem Bad zu waschen oder das Geschirr zu spühlen fehlen.

Good if you don't take care about the room but enjoy Bacalar

Very close to the public beach

Very dark room which was noisy as there are no real doors. There were also a lot of moskitos! The beds are very small

Very good

We arrived to a very friendly welcome from Hugo, who is the new owner. He was very generous with his time, super friendly and helped us book the boat tour (a must!). We stayed in the basic cabin which was good for a few nights, but note that it's sort of indoor/outdoor living and quite hot this time of year. lots of lovely seating areas on the property and only 1 minute walk to the lake.

Could use a little 'love', for example no real at the bathroom, the doors to the bathrooms are quite short, so there is not much privacy. I know there are plans for great renovations - so I'm sure there will be great changes to come!

Good price and fantastic location. A very basic kitchen but it did the job. The owners were lovely.

The room was very basic and didn't have a proper wall separating us from the room next door. It's very hot in the room even with aircon.

Superb

The staff at the hostel were incredibly helpful and accommodating, telling us everything to k ow about the hostel as well as reccomendations for the local area and how best to enjoy the lake. Very nice roof terrace and seating areas throughout the hostel.

Not really a problem for us but some people might consider the rooms quite rustic (quite a big gap above the door covered only by a curtain, we forget to close the curtain one evening and a bat came in). Kitchen was slightly small for the number of rooms.

Lovely place to relax near the lagoon

Ended up extending our stay to 4 nights as we enjoyed it here. It had a great location 2 minutes away from the free Dock to go swimming, 10 minute walk from a well stocked grocery store and laundry. Owner Ellie was absolutely lovely and would check on everyone everyday. She was so kind and made us feel so at home. We made the most of the kitchen and cooked all of our meals while we were there. Place only has a few rooms so had a great relaxed vibe and we met some lovely people while staying there.

A beautiful experience and Ellie made us feel like family and she let us paint some murals.

Everything, but mainly Ellie the host. She is a wonderful woman with a beautiful soul. Full of life and love. We were very sad to leave but the memories will stay with us forever. It is a very special place ❤️❤️

Beautiful place to stay in Bacalar

Thank you to Elizabeth for a wonderful stay! She was amazing- there to answer questions and ensure that you enjoy your stay. The property was so cute and so close to the lake. Showers/bathrooms and kitchen were clean. We stayed 3 nights in one of the private rooms and really enjoyed ourselves. P.S. the restaurant right around the corner has some great food. We ate some really good Veracruz fish and queso fundido.

I recommend this place

Fantastic host, she made us feel at home. The place had a great vibe. You can find all you need here (a small kitchen, a fridge, a big common area, showers, sinks, a line to dry the clothes), the place is very close to a free swimming area and an inexpensive private swimming area

Staff nice, But cockroaches and unfriendly owner.

The women working their was very nice also the facility itself seems good at first look. BUT we had a lot of cockroaches in our room, we decided to change hostel right before going to sleep as there were too many. When we communicated that to the owner he charged us for the first night, even though we didnt sleep there and had the trouble of finding a new place in the middle of the night.

The stay at this place was very enjoyable

The place is very well maintained, the owner is super nice, helpful and takes care of the place. We really enjoyed our stay there, everything was really clean and there is also a kitchen to cook. The location was amazing too, so close to the water.

Highly recommend

Near Lake hostal has everything u want as a solo traveller. Its close to the centre close to the free beach and a warm welcoming hosts. Eli and Rino did everything they could, to make it feel like home far away from home. Thanks so much 🙏

Very good

The couple owning the hostel are the friendliest people you can imagine. I had a small wound on my hand and they helped treating it with fresh aloe vera for the time I was there. They were also superhelpfull in what to do and how to get anywhere in Bacalar!

sweet hostel, budget place

Best host since we have been in Mexico. location is one blok from public peer, 10 min walk to center.

in the 2/3 person room you are the center of the communal area which can be bothering. you will hear everything.

Like staying at your Grandma's

Elizabeth was amazing and very welcoming, we felt very well looked after. It felt like you were staying in your Grandma's house. Very good value for money, and I think we were upgraded to a better room on our arrival. There was good kitchen facilities.

The bed was uncomfortable and the surroundings were quite noisy at night time. The room was very basic (a wood hut with a gravel floor) so if comfort and style is your thing I wouldn't recommend. However if you are happy with something more rustic for a cheap price this place is great.

super welcome super stay super happy

first of all the hosts eli and reggi were the image of hospitality. the location is right by the lagoon, perfect to wake up and swim. the rooms have mosquito nets and the kitchen is fine to cook. we stayed much longer than anticipated because it felt like a home from a home
