Easy walk to Port Ellen, very comfortable and had everything you need for a relaxing break away.
You need to walk through the bathroom to get to the second and third bedroom.
We weee two couples and it worked for us

It was very quiet.
A reasonable walk from town, especially with luggage, if without a car. To access the bathroom from the master bedroom you must pass through the lounge and then the kitchen, which we found a bit odd/annoying.

Communication was excellent. Eric was friendly and provided clear directions to the property.
The cottage is lovely, quaint and full of character.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, including an air fryer and washing machine.
The double bed was comfortable with a thick, cosy duvet, and the bedroom also has a small smart TV.
The rural location offers fantastic views while still being close to Port Ellen.
Parking is convenient in the lay-by next to the cottage.
Although it became chilly in the evenings, plenty of heaters and blankets were provided to keep the cottage comfortable.
Honestly, nothing!
However, if you're staying for a longer period, be aware that the fridge doesn't have a freezer compartment, which may be inconvenient.
The layout may not suit everyone, as the two twin bedrooms are interconnected and accessed via the bathroom, which itself is off the kitchen.

Place was comfortable enough. Not too bad a walk from Port Ellen approx 20 mins. Has plenty of space despite its quirky layout
Despite being advertised as newly renovated this property requires attention. Broken locks on the toilet doors, locks missing on bedroom doors, broken door frames and shabby fittings. Missing lights in bathroom. Shower quite dirty, doors not fitted properly on the cubicle, low water pressure. Private parking is not on site it is in a passing point that just happens to be outside of the cottage. Also it’s listed that there is a coffee machine, this is incorrect. There is a French press, which is a manual coffee brewer not a machine.
