About this house rental
Nestled in Bald Head Island, this charming house for $395 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. New kitchen for spring of 2022! Our family loves to vacation at the beach and we think you will find that our house has everything your family needs to enjoy a relaxing time on BHI. Our home is 2500 square feet all on one level and offers generous living, dining and kitchen areas in the center between the 2 sleeping areas. Great views from every room. This layout makes it a perfect vacation rental for 2 small or one large family. The house is 50 steps across the street from the beach access and a 7 minute walk to the Bald Head Island Club. It is a short ten minute ride to the Maritime Market and about the same distance to the island ferry landing. • East side has Queen bedroom, Bedroom with 2 Twins and bunk single and a full bathroom to share. Twin bedroom has 32” flat panel tv, blu ray – smart DVD player and seating. Perfect for the children to play games or watch tv and videos. • West side has King Bedroom with en suite full bath, Full bathroom off of hallway and bedroom with 2 twins. • Center living area has a large seating area and wet bar as well as a smaller seating area and a casual dining/game table. Large dining area seats 10 comfortably. Also included is a Smart TV, DVD/CD player and a wide variety of music CD’s • Galley kitchen (renovated for spring of 2022!) opens to the living area with a breakfast bar for 3. The kitchen is well equipped for all of your cooking needs. • South west facing large front deck with screen porch as well as a covered area has a spectacular view of South Beach. Beautiful place to watch the sunset! • Cool and inviting north east facing rear deck is a great place for quiet afternoon reading. • Outdoor shower with dressing area to refresh yourself and the kids after a day at the beach. We now have 3 four passenger golf carts. There is new decking under the house which is a nice hangout area for kids with ping pong, pop-a-shot, corn hole and other games. There is a new master bath and updated outdoor shower. There is all new paint inside and out, a new ice maker and beverage fridge. There are also hammocks on both the front and back decks. Included in your rental: • Shoals Club and Bald Head Island Club Guest Memberships are available for purchase. • Complimentary secure WI-FI • Full supply of paper products • Pantry of herbs, spices, condiments, plastic wrap, aluminum foil,etc. We ask our guests to use what they need, leave what they found for the next guests. • Complimentary Dish washer soap, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, liquid bath soap and cleaning products. • Fresh clean bedding and towels and beach towels • Kitchen has plenty of dishes, glassware, cookware. Appliances include refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, wall oven with microwave, convection toaster oven, 5 burner solid surface cook top, coffeemaker, coffee bean grinder, griddle, Kitchen Aid mixer • Three 4-passenger golf carts • Bicycles • Beach chairs, umbrella and beach toys, boogie boards * Pets allowed - Dogs only. Only 1 dog allowed and the pet fee is $250.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house. It was clean, in a great location, provided ample room for our group of 6 and it had a great view. It's centrally located on the island so the activities at the marina weren't far away and neither were the activities by the conservancy.

The property was great especially being right across from the beach! We really enjoyed the ping pong table and basketball hoop and having 3 golf carts to use was so convenient. Kitchen was very well stocked as well. Thank you for a great weekend!

We truly enjoyed the house for our week long vacation. The house has a great open floor plan with an awesome deck overlooking the dunes. We used the golf carts and bikes and both were in very good shape. The house is very comfortable and the pictures online represent the property well. We would definitely stay there again.

This was my favorite house rental on BHI. The kitchen is awesome. There are wonderful views in all rooms of the dunes. Loved the ice maker in the bar area. Great layout! Would definitely come back again.

Until I received an unexpected, unwarranted email regarding property damage (questionable claims at best)…

The house is right across from the boardwalk beach access. We had a few issues, probably due to power surge before we arrived, but host tried to have the problems solved and offered a partial refund for our inconvenience. Nice living space, kitchen, and bedrooms.

After many years absence, we returned to BHI for a short vacation an had a great stay. This house is ideally located for access to all that Bald Head Island has to offer. The house itself is a great family house, although there were only 2 of us. Kids would love it! Plenty of bedrooms and beds, great recreation below the house, lots of bikes (bring some oil-- bike chains rust quickly in the salt ocean air!). Kitchen completely stocked. Did I mention that beach access is just across the street? Loved all of it!

Karen was so amazing to talk to and work with. The house was gorgeous, super roomy and had everything a person could need while on vacation. Layout was so neat and spread out. Looked as there was plenty under the porch for kids to do and lots of carts. Thank you Karen for all you did to let my family try to enjoy and make the best of why we was there.

We arrived the day after BHI was hit with some wind from Hurricane Ian. There were a few glitches as a result, but Kathy was very helpful and is quick to reply. The home is in a perfect location, right across the street from the beach access. We had beautiful sunsets from the deck.

My wife and I have stayed at 15+ homes on BHI and this one is our favorite. The layout of the house is ideal for two families with east wing and west wing bedrooms. The kitchen has been remodeled and has everything you would need. The location of the home is ideal with beach access directly across the street. The large deck is perfect for your morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. The main golf cart is an upgrade over the “standard” carts most other homes have. Everything in this home is just organized very well and is very clean. Kathy is very responsive and was super easy to work with. We will certainly be back to stay here again!

We booked this house for ourselves, kids and spouses, and grandchildren for a visit to Bald Head Island! The house is situated right across the road from the beach and literally has everything you could want! Bikes, golf carts, beach toys for children, games, etc etc The kitchen is well stocked and all rooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable. Sunsets from the deck were magnificent and the beach is spotless and gorgeous! Kathy was so responsive to our questions and was a delight to work with. We enjoyed climbing the lighthouse.. even the little ones. Very relaxing! We are all planning another trip back soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at Turtle Territory! This house is in a GREAT location on the island... just a short cart ride to both clubs & the market/shops, plus direct beach access right across the street. Our kids loved watching the big ships coming in and the golf carts passing by. This was the most well-stocked house we have stayed in on BHI. The house has a new fully stocked kitchen (plenty of pots/knives, some spices, etc.), working bikes, 3 golf carts, kids games, beach chairs, cabana, boogie boards, beach toys, beach towels, etc. that were all in good shape... this makes life a lot easier when you don't have to carry all of that extra stuff on the ferry. There is a bed rail in one of the closets for the top bunk. Kathy was super helpful during check-in when we got to the island a little early. Thanks for sharing your home with us, we hope to come back!

We stayed here for a wedding of a family friend. My wife and I with three of our adult kids and one boyfriend all loved the house and location. Our host, Kathy, was very helpful through the entire process and jumped to help with a little issue with one of the carts. Highly recommend the house and island!
