About this house rental
Situated in Southern Gulf Islands, this lovely house for $144 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This bright and spacious suite with private entrance and patio with a view of a pond and fountain. Excellent accessibility with no curbs or steps to the entrance, or inside and a designated wide parking spot. The primary BR boasts a queen bed and two large closets & desk area, the secondary BR has a double bed and a large closet, the LR offers dining table and a long sofa where an additional guest could sleep. 58" TV and internet access. Bathroom with tub/shower. Full kitchen with laundry. "Super location at the end of a dead end street and you can enter the beautiful and manicured Dominion Brook Park at the top of our driveway. This park is dog friendly with numerous water features, trials, outdoor tables, public washrooms, and wide open spaces offering views of the mountains and ocean. We are also just a short 5 minute walk to public transit and the Panorama Recreation Centre offering lap and warm water pools, dry and steam saunas, jacuzzi, weight room, skating, squash and tennis with outdoor basketball and large play structures. The spectacular John Dear Park is also a short 5 minute drive which offers fabulous trails amongst gigantic trees with locations for breath-taking mountain and ocean views. "Convenient location as it is just a 5 minutes drive from the Victoria Int'l Airport and Anacortes ferry, 10 minute drive to Swartz Bay Ferry, Butchart and Butterfly Gardens, and the Saanich Peninsula Hospital, and 20 just a minute drive to beautiful downtown Victoria with its' many attractions.

The space was perfect for our needs. It’s very clean and comfortable. It worked well for my son who uses a wheelchair but it would not work for a wheelchair user who does not have a companion to reach some of the kitchen items stored on high shelves. Our host was very helpful and easy to reach. Thank you! We enjoyed it!

A friend and I stayed here on our girls trip to Victoria. Jeff and Anna were wonderful hosts. Their unit is clean and has everything you need for a great stay. We will come back to stay next time. Would recommend to everyone.

We enjoyed Jeff’s apartment so much. The walkout lower level unit was cool, cozy and close to everything. We are bikers and were able To access the trails easily from his place. We ate outside a couple times and used the BBQ. The yard is lovely and private. Would definitely come again.

Lovely surrounding area. Close to everything we needed. Host was very kind and on site if needed. Comfort of beds could be better. Everyone’s taste is different though so maybe ok for others. Extra blankets would be nice. The one they had smelled so bad I had to wash it. Could also be cleaner in general. The refrigerator had remnants of previous guests. Well stocked with supplies. We used the laundry and new gloves and sponge for dishes. Nice touch. I didn’t realize he charged per guest. We had another person come along after I booked the property and then was charged an additional fee after we left. There are pros and cons to every property. I still think this may be the right fit for most and would recommend.

We enjoyed the beautiful yard with it’s spacious lawn and lovely gardens. The suite was comfortable with plenty of amenities and the host was friendly. However, our first impression as we walked in wasn’t good, as there is a dampness issue in the suite. Because the weather was warm, opening the windows helped alleviate the problem. A dehumidifier in the suite would probably be a solution.”

We really enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The home was in a very quiet neighborhood and backed onto a peaceful park and small lake. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds comfortable and Jeff and Anna were available if we had any questions. We will definitely stay again. Thank you!

We were delighted when we arrived to see how spacious and clean this vacation home is. As we settled in for our 8 day stay, we also quickly appreciated how very well equipped and comfortable everything in this home is. The king and queen beds were possibly the best we have slept on when on vacation..
We enjoyed the peace of the large patio and garden, spending part of each day there.
Jeff and Anna are very warm and helpful hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed. The day we left, Jeff even washed our car clean of all the ash that had blown over from the wildfires on the mainland. This is an ideal location for visiting Butchart Gardens, Victoria and many other local attractions. We certainly hope to make this our vacation home again the next time we visit Sidney.

We loved being able to have our morning coffee in the beautiful yard watching the birds and enjoying the fountain. Our hosts had many great suggestions for places to visit. The location was convenient for accessing Victoria and many hikes and beaches.

Perfect spot and Jeff was a spectacular host. The basement apartment is modern and very well equipped. The location has a neighbouring park, and is close to the town of Saanich. You can't go wrong here!

Beautiful property, central location
We were very happy with Jeff’s property. It was the perfect size for four of us. The yard was absolutely beautiful; perfect view to take in during morning coffee. The property was in a great location - very private and away from traffic but very easy to access main roads to get to Sidney, the airport, or Victoria very quickly. It was in a great location for walking too - a quick walk away from great coffee and good eats from The Roost. Overall, I would highly recommend this property. Jeff was a wonderful host!

My son and I stayed at Jeff's for 6 nights. The vrbo was clean and comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. We really appreciated having the washer/dryer and the easy access to the highway. The vrbo had everything we needed for our stay. We would stay here again.

Jeff is a great host! His property is absolutely clean with a beautiful location and a lush green backyard. Although it is a basement unit, it doesn’t feel like a basement at all. It has all the amenities, latest appliances including washer/dryer, dishwasher, cutlery, coffee maker, ironing board. This 2 room set felt like home during our 3 night stay. Conveniently located, this place is close to Sydney Beach. Victoria downtown is a 20-30 min drive. Will visit again!

The property is very clean and the view is amazing. The property is very close to the airport and the ferry, and it is under 30 minutes drive. The hosts are very friendly.
HOWEVER, it is a BASEMENT SUIT that is NOT SOUND PROOF and there is a lot of noise transfer from upstairs.
We could not sleep. The hosts live upstairs, and they wake up before 6:00 am in the morning and go to bed very late.
The host apologized about our complaint and disappointment, but, that does not make up for the lack of sleep in our trip
